I've seen this barn in real life!!! It's in Wyoming. I actually have a photo of it hanging in my office. It is so fun to watch it being painted. I'll have to try it!

I really like your easy soft way of teaching! i really like working with watercolors, iv already learned more from you, than i did in art school! i think the biggest thing iv learned is change the brushes, or the paper, or the paints ,and the results change ,every time! and also, the better your materials, the better the results.. Yong I learn a lot from hearing your process as you evaluate the colors tone value and shapes. I'm going to try this painting. Barns are special to me. I tend to rebel against using only 3 colors but I see the value in it. I know I need to to grow. I thank you for that.

Okay...I’m going to try this. I like to watch the whole tutorial first. Then go back and paint along. I love the mountains. I want to paint a thank you card for my cousin in Colorado. I think this will serve nicely.

Thanks for an interesting lesson. I love the way you painted the mountains in the background. This is a very iconic location, Moulton Barn with the Grand Tetons in the background in Jackson Hole, WY. The "Grand Teton" actually has a distinct shape.

I will try this. Someone told me they had about 130 colors because they hate to mix. I would make such a mess with that many colors. I had a hard time mixing at first but now it's much better. Thank you Mr. Chen.

What kind of calligraphy brush is he using? His holds it’s point so it’s different to the standard one. Thanks for the content an any replies. 😅

He describes it and has a link to it in his notes for the video and in some equpiment section on his website. It is only made in China. It has animal hair in the brush, so I won't be buying it.
