i love how u drive back n forward with bucket in air and when u cut i love how u get 3 shovel fulls and runn that up n dumpn it and come back do that 5 more times nothn like gettn her down right depth in first pass . . . ps i heard they only make those tilt buckets for old guys that cant grade ...bring the wheel skidsteer out so we can see and u can feel how rough that is
Nice operating. 190's a good machine to work with, too. I've heard people diss 190s from time to time, but they're a good bread & butter machine. Nice work, Jim. Just sayin'! ;)
ISO by far, though having done some grading with a Dingo (tracked, single arm), I would like to try Gehl's t-bar for travel. Pilot joystick is the only way to go for bucket controls though.
@jaeman99 It's just a stock Bobcat bucket. I have a Bobcat Tilt Tach attachment sandwiched between the machine and bucket. With a flick of my thumb I can tilt the bucket 18 degrees either way. It's the best attachment you can get for your skid steer.
Was dirt brought in? I have 1/4 acre (75W X 120L) vacant lot in central Florida where my soil is basically soft white sand - it compacts well but is like butter for digging. The lot has a 2' dip in the center where i want to park a camper during summer when it rains a lot. I've never seen it flood but FEMA says it eventually will. I was wondering if a Bobcat alone could dig PUSH a deep trench around perimeter then grade push everything up to a plateau in the center back basically creating aggressive trenches and dips where i want plant some thorny bushes that love water. ideally looking to elevate a 50W x 60L plateau section by 3+ feet by PUSHING my sandy soil around without having to bring in fill dirt. Think it's possible and what would a job like this cost in labor alone with just a Bobcat and operator? I'd love to learn to operate a Bobcat.
Yes you can get a brush hog for the loader and I would definitely prefer tracks for thick brush and tall Grass wheel loaders are better used on roads track machines are more off road
Thanks Al. They are a good working machine and fun to operate. I guess everyone has their own opinion on what brand is best. I've only run the T190 and a Cat 247 and would take the Bobcat hands down over the Cat. But that's just my opinion:)
Vacant Central Florida lot .. FEMA thinks my lot is in a flood zone because elevation in some spots is 113' vs neighbors at around 116' ( I presuming this based on google earth elevation readings). The general neighborhood is high and dry patch with no major bodies of water so generally not in a flood zone. I've been on the lot after three 3 days of heavy rain and there is no sitting water on my lot. I think the FEMA map is bad. I emailed them. But anyways... County has told me I have the right of way on some unmaintained dirt trails to the state road I have permission to clear as needed. The trails are very high with sandy soil. Can a bobcat ALONE elevate a 50x50 clearing on my lot with that sandy soil roughly 4 feet higher? maybe create a parameter ditch/grade upward to the clearing? How much can I expect to pay for a job like this if no trees in the way? Is sandy soil recommended for elevating a future foundation? Really for now I just want to be able to park my car on the lot with no concerns about flooding but mainly want to get rid of the FEMA flood zone classification on the lot.
+elydanification I would use the bucket to rough in the driveway then I would back drag it with the bucket on a little bit of a angle to fine tune it and smooth it out.
I see yours has a 4 point safety harness instead of the bar that you have to pull down like what they have on roller coasters, are the seatbelts an option than having to use the pull down bar? Alo right now I can see that having the trax on the Bobcat makes it ten times easier to move around on soft dirt than the regular 4-wheel drive tires, and I see on the back of it this is the T190 you are operating, I have a landscaper who has a 753 model, now is yours a bigger model than a 753 or is it the other way around?
They are pretty much the same machine. One is a radius lift and the other is a vertical lift machine. The vertical lift/t190 machine will lift higher and out further which is good for loading in tall trucks.
+Belljeep06 No, I don't want to sell the components. I put the door on and use the AC when it's really hot but usually take it off when the weather is good.
I find it rather funny and pathetic that every time somebody uploads a video that has machinery work or trucking ,half of the comments are about how the operator "doesn't know what he's doing" and my guess is those comments do not necessarily come from operators who are better than the person on the video, but from people who are never complemented on their work .....!
Arm chair quarterbacks bro. RU-vid is full of them. But they still continue to criticize believing other folks will read their comments and be in awe of that persons skill with his writing of his comment. A true hindsight hero
CalWillCO Thanks. I cant wait to see your video. Most critics just tell me how great they are but never back there story and show me how good they really are. Send me a link when you get it posted.
I'm just saying that "I'm jus sayin" is the most weak, passive aggressive POS expression. It makes my skin crawl. It usually accompanies weeny minded gratuitous nasty statements
