You are very welcome, yes so it's actually a few different woods that become super toxic when you get the dust, I mean NO DUST is good for you but some are way worse, cedar is one of them.

Wowzer. I have a lane cedar chest that I found on the side of the road. It is from 1954. I opened it up and it smells amazing. But the veneer on top is destroyed. I always learn so much from you.Your amazing. Thank you.

I love the colors over the dark base. And the neutral legs and top really pull it back. I feel like I wouldn’t even be afraid of bright colors with this combo. Although, I’d probably go more jewel tones, you know, baby steps and all that.

Well that was an amazing transformation! Really love it. The stripping down of all those trim pieces and the new sleek base (which did you end up darkening the base a tad or is it just the lighting? If you did darken a bit it I like it!) the dark dark gray made the perfect background for your 3 color stencil and what a great choice for a stencil! Needless to say I love it. Also I watch your videos and you have a wonderful concise way of explaining your processes and on this video was great to talk about the safety and the use of your tools to do the base . Thank you for inspiring folks to go out and save some used pieces and rethink their uses and their designs. Also liked your history of this piece as many of us have pieces we love that we want to keep but maybe need to change their look and/or design to keep up with our changing lives. Thank you!!

Oh I love that stencil! I just got gifted a cedar chest. I love when I ask if there are any problems with it they say, “no I don’t think so. My friend gave it to me and I’m to bush to do anything with it” YIKES! When I got it home they took off the back aluminum strip and cut it to help hold the piece together where a piece cracked in the back. Hard to explain. They ruined both hinges and there are cracks where the hinge is holding it together. Not sure how I’m going to restore the cedar section. Yours turned out beautiful!
