Reading all these comments and answers. It is very clear that some viewers are confused, as I was at first also. Due to the choice of words used by demonstrator/commentator. The breath hole is explained between the 25 and 40 second mark. You have to pay close attention here. Play it back a few times if necessary. He states the hole needs to be installed into the air reservoir instead of drilled into the reservoir. I did not pick up that the hole is to be drilled into the reservoir either. At first I thought he was talking about older regulators that needed this hole drilled into the regulator itself. It goes between the two O rings that isolate the regulator in the reservoir. That is where the bleed hole is in the regulator. The escape hole is to be drilled, not installed in the reservoir to release the air the escapes form the breath hole that is already in the regulator. Hope this is helpful and not too confusing. Thanks to those who presented this series explaining these necessary steps.

The Air Masters Reg by Dave Welham wont let the air out which is 100% OK when he fits them as he drills a hole. I may have said in the vid but one guy fitted one second hand and it all jammed up as he didn't drill a hole so I measured and drilled and SSSS the air came out :-)

Is this bleed hole necessary with all your regulators or just a particular model ? I have a Diana Bandit. The regular for the Bandit from P Air installs needing no bleed hole drilled. I must say your regulators look to be of great quality.

The air pressure 1 to 200+ Bar in the reservoir is trying to get to the lowest pressure point 'Attmosphere' it cannot get past the )-ring and so pushes it into place under it's efforts. i.e. 4.65lb Sq/mm at 200bar and so on an O-ring that size about 70lb force at 200bar - That seal is going know where.

I am sorry, I do not quite understand your explanation in this video. Do you have some sort of animation to help explain why the need for a breathe hole? If a regulator needs a breathe hole, then, there should be a corresponding vent hole in the reservoir itself, drilled at the correct space between the two seals. That to me is an accident waiting to happen. If the O ring seals fail, it would be a recipe for a massive leak.

Dear Sir - I would sugest that you read up and learn about regulators of all sorts whether domestic LPG or HP Diving etc. as well as watch all the videos and read all the information upon his web-site and face book page, as from the question asked you clearly have little to zero understanding.

I mean you no hostility pal, but this was a very good explanation of why the hole needs to be drilled and a good description of what occurs when you dont . My advice is get it fitted by a pro or study pcp airgun design and understand how to work on them safely , it really isnt rocket science and I dont want to put you off but air under pressure can be deadly shit.

You have to be polite in your conversation with people. And do research to develop your product without having to puncture their own gun and the possibility of damage to the internal parts, which carries an additional loss

You would have to have a sealing collar made to order, buy a new reservoir tube or have a custom regulator made with a sealed cover section.

he does in the reg you must drill a 1.5mmm hole in the air tube where the reg sits. he explains the process very clearly in another vid on this channel.
