VAF has been a thing for months now. The PD just hasn’t had a way to enforce on a vehicle that reached 3 Strikes yet. That’s why there is this new law.
So the crims will want to do crime in stolen local cars or cheap burner cars? This seems like a good RP solution to the PD complaining about losing chases to supercars.
@@sylent7638 We all know the PD are poor drivers who couldn't handle the stock supercars. The game breaker would be the PD getting a modded supercar that's been tweaked by a dev to be fast, brake well at high speeds, and has stable turning.
So people who buy these cars from the crims will get screwed while not being able to check to see if the car has points before they buy. Pretty certain a cop shouldn’t be able to give this info to some one who doesn’t own the car as there are privacy concerns. How is the purchaser gonna RP to get this info? They didn’t think this thru.

No, you role play and build a good relationship with a cop, so in the future they might do you a favor that doesn't require corruption. And saying High Command is gonna fire cops that give that info is classic viewer doomspiraling.
@@UnlistedAgainokay then, a cop shouldn’t tell a potential buyer of a car due to privacy concerns. I suspect a cop will get sued for giving away private info. A potential buyer has no way of knowing if the car has points otherwise. The uninspired thinking is not giving civs a way to check.

because almost everyone use their cars in wars except besties, cypress , cg . hydra uses their war car with green military color, saints does the same with white color cars , hades aswell with black and red cars ,also manor been doing it since early cypress wars

Alot of these comments talk about the convoys like it wont happen peopel are just going to use stolen cars I think it would have been better to make a company that goes after these cars or it is apart of cops jobs to do so i think that way you get more content
Okay but once you get the 3rd strike cant they just seize it then and there? Since they need the car to VAF anyway. If not kinda dumb they just take your money instead of hunting down the car. Cops complain on not being able to do much other than driving around, yet this system would be perfect for a Task Force which would bring more RP but instead they just bill them and put them into debt...
@cash3015 I believe there's no mechanic to seize a car permanently at the moment. Only impound temporarily. The only way to lose ownership of a car is to voluntarily transfer it. That's why the law is set up like this.
people would just put the car in a garage every time cops come by and act like they dont have it. its the only way to keep people from abusing mechanics to hide their vehicles from cops

@@cash3015 That's even worse because many mistakes can happen then or cops can abuse their power and you can't do anything until it's too late. This is the best incentive crims have top turn it in because you're only looking at this as the responsibility to RP as the Police but not as the crim to turn it in. I do however think they should have to catch the person and fine them rather than automatically removing it from your account but I'm guessing this is temporary until they find a way to repo the property directly.
This just kills car rp. No one is going to want to buy a car. It’ll just get stolen and used in a violent crime. The risk isn’t worth it. The whole point to buy a cool car is to use it.
what happens if you transfer the car to somebody else? They gonna deduct money from somebody who doesn't even own the car? Also, I like how they have laws like this and then complain that everyone is using stolen Gauntlets for everything.
Thing is to my knowledge the only way you can do this is by selling it to them and that would require them to be inside the car at the time of the sale and they need to accept the prompt on their phone to complete the transfer. Tbh I can see thing being a good way to mess with people or to make use of people with infinite negative bank accounts like I'm sure people wouldn't mind instead of giving the car to the cops just selling it for cheap to a clown, they'd probably lose it when they get caught but it's something at least.

The original law was tht they can seize your car but there is no way in RP to seize it w/o manually finding and towing it. So this adds an RP element of a hefty fine until the car is surrendered to the police

I miss when NP used to be about people trying to create rp and not come up with rules on how to police rp and then call it rp. I dont know how the people in charge can look at the state of the server after 6 months of people doing nothing but this and said lets do that more but with different people. Get back to basics and work things from there stop trying to create a world in your head then get upset when people dont play along. Let things happen in rp and at least have a court case to set a precedent or something overnight laws just feels like people on a power trip even if that aint there intention
