I recently spent a few glorious days in the lake District, climbing hills and bagging a trio of tarns.
Lingmoor Tarn is the first of these, approached from the National Trust campsite in the valley floor via Side Pike; a modest climb with excellent views across to the Langdale Pikes.
There are two more tarns to come, so watch this space...

You can catch the spirit of the mountain very well...and moreover I am also appreciating a language lesson with clear words 🤗

Beautiful.....your choice of primaries Prussian blue and cadmium yellow, unusual though, lend a serene, ethereal calm to the landscape...very engaging indeed!

Just lovely Peter. Love the soft muted tones of the second painting especially. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the series.

I produced the second painting almost as an antidote to the first, and the muted tones were exactly what I was aiming for... I'm pleased you like it. Two more tarns to come (Stickle Tarn is up next...). Thanks for the comment Carolyn - I'm pleased you enjoyed it.
