Great video , think I'll just keep painting this scene until I get it looking right. Important to experiment when you are learning I think and not be too precious about your early efforts. thanks Peter 👍
Thanks Pete, love your paintings and the way you describe the land is amazing, wish it was closer to Queensland mate😊as I don't much like the long airline flights, will just have to imagine I am there through your great videos.
Beautiful.....your choice of primaries Prussian blue and cadmium yellow, unusual though, lend a serene, ethereal calm to the landscape...very engaging indeed!
That is really useful Peter. This is the first time I've seen an artist actually break down what they do in detail & explain why they do it in order to produce an advanced full featured top level version. Thank you
Wow, I thought I had to be the only one to start over and over trying to paint the norther lights. This is a great technique. I can't wait to try it. One question, What do I do if it does start to dry out? Thank you
Yesss! I just watched probably 15 different cloud videos, and this is by far my favorite. I'm so excited to try it, I can't contain myself. Thank you Peter! I'll graduate to the none stopping out technique after I master this 😀
I agree - Grassington is a lovely place - it always suprises me how large it is - more a small Dales town than a village. Thanks for the comment Linda.
New to yr channel..love art.i was a street artist. Doing mainly biblical art..also i haven't seen your pencil fr years..my grandad worked fr B.T and thars wat he was given as a telephone operator. I loved the pencils the sharpener at the top was brilliant
You're very welcome Patricia - good to hear you're still at it - and we never stop learning (which is one of the reasons art is so endlessly fascinating) - thank you for the lovely comment!
Pencil is so versatile, In comparison to the vibrance and impact of skilled hand, I too am humbled. AI will never reflect the soul of an artist, it imitates the fundamentals and takes from what's been made. While man weaves his inspiration from the Almighty and his creation.
