I have 2017 vios. Been using it for quite few years. Always going regularly kl-pahang. Karak corner and genting always be the place where i got indulge in the driving. Can't wait to test drive this new vios!
@@iskandarzulqarnain4521 actually bro, mine is the mc vios with cvt and the 2nr-fe engine. So i can live with cvt 😂 don't mind the noises and stuffs. I have to say that toyota cvt is okay n reliable. And i tested already this new vios. Lagi sedap but then feels a little bit cramped. Suitable for small family with good incomes.
Agree with the fun factor vs speed. At my age, I only care about the joy of driving, not speed anymore. So yes, I will seriously consider this for my second car.
Actually CR1 isn't really a grippy tyre based on the experience of me and my friend 😂 gently driving okay lah, but doesn't give you confident when dealing with sharp corner with speed. And this Vios G specs use ContiPremium Contact 6 tyres instesd of CR1
Uncle, can I suggest/request a 2023 buying guide? Like maybe for each category or budget you can highlight 1 or 2 cars that you think is a great choice. For people like me who don't know much about cars, it is quite daunting trying to compare between all the different models and brands. I think it would be a great video! 🙏
Yes, the new one is 110kg less - that makes it better. Then the 17 inch wheels, paddle shifters, a new CVT with different tuning, Power button, longer wheelbase.....
First look at the car and it reminded me of the Honda Civic FC! But, I must agree tthat the car does look nice. Oh, one more thing. After switching on the rear dome light, you didn't switch it off, and it can be seen (still lit up) in this test-drive video!!
Wow Uncle that was a lot of praise on the chassis and handling, how would you compare it to something like the Mazda 3? I know price wise its unfair to compare but these 2 cars are in my wish list so I just have to know 😅 many thanks in advance and as always, great driving!
The Mazda 3 is C segment, and has 50 horses more; cannot compare, but if you want to talk about the Vios package, I would say it is a good package. Just on handling, it is as good, I would say, based on the power available. The chassis has good potential for another 20 horses.
In terms of price and segment, cannot compare la bro lol. Vios competitor is Honda City and Mazda 2, while Mazda 3 competitor is Honda Civic and Toyota Altis. C-segment cars are miles ahead in terms of refinement in everything.

I'm from India, and I'm the proud owner of a VW Vento. After watching all your hill climb videos featuring B Segment Sedans, I couldn't help but notice that none of them exuded the same level of confidence on corners and roads as Vento does. Do you agree?

Hahaha, thanks for supporting! For every new car I drive, I always proceed with caution to feel it out and go progressively faster as I go along. So even Mr. Sim could feel and sense it. You cannot go hot from the word go - very damgerous and foolhardy.
Toyota bagi tayar lebar 205 memang best layan conering, dulu sy pakai vios keli 4speed tayar pakai michelin PS3 195/55/15 mmg best layan conering. Vios keli chassis lama tiada masalah cuma steering respons agak kurang and top speed 180kmh fuhh agak struggle kene pegang steering kuat2 😂 agak sampan jugak laa. Trade in vios keli ambik Kia Rio YB 6speed 2019 rim saiz 16 dapat tayar michelin energy saver 195/55/16, skrg upgrade rim 17 ORI rim kia jugak tayar 205/45/17 conti MC6 handling terus jadi sedap cuma rim 17 sangat berat under 11kg. Kia rio YB 4 speed 2017 rim saiz 17 dapat tayar conti Sport Contacts 5 205/45/17 tapi tayar model ni tidak jual kat Malaysia faktor harga terlalu mahal berbanding PS4.
The platform, not the chassis. A platform can be stretched or trimmed down to suit different bodies, so it is not necessarily the same. The Vios drives totally differently from the Alza, becausr of different wheelbase, different length, different height and weight distribution.

How do compare the city ehev rs the hybrid version compare to the new vios btw?? The hybrid has more torque compare to vios rite so how the power and acceleration is in the honda n the vios
@@metzmatu8409 No. It doesn’t. That is for turbocharged engines when you are dealing with boost pressure where combustion is happening at a higher compression pressure. NA engines only deal with VVT tuning, ignition timing and AFR. None of those affect reliability for NA engines. Want to affect reliability? Forced induction on factory engines that come as an NA unit.
COE prices for CAT A is insane right now… i doubt there will be a lot of buyers for the new Vios when they can get a bigger Avante/Cerato for just a bit more
COE is COE, you either have or don’t have the money. The Korean cars are more unreliable even though they are B&B cars. The Japs are more reliable and have a better reputation. There will people who prefer Jap reliability over Korean style.

Yeah d chassis is good , but the limit is the engine that screamed tremendously ....and the speed hardly reach 100kmj ...show it's limit....very bad vios...
