3:20 You also missed the fact that viktor was oom after the E, which made dopa actually get a lot of benefits from pushing. In this case if the recall actually went through it would keep viktor in lane at 1000-1100 gold. Since they are not at lost chapter gold yet that would force viktor to either fall behind in cs by delaying reset with no mana for 1-2 waves or take a worse reset before the big powerspike. laning in top depends more on counter picks, so it's better for you to look up some channel which does the translation for one-tricks on CN or KR server. Those one-tricks often tell their chat about the thought process of laning, such as how to bait out your opponent's abilities utilizing your champion's stats (like dodging with move speed or just take dmg due to high health region), minion waves, and bushes. mid lane is more about wave control and map awareness, which is what totss good at.

honestly i prefer them without a voice, it's less distracting and i can focus solely on the gameplay and the advice. this may just be me though as i'm a visual learner

Anyway good video, informative as always but I'd also want to see how the match ended since he's macro-ing a lot and it would be a shame if I can't get to see the final result from his snowballing the lane
baiting abilities like that is very common and makes sense, if he wastes ability on you even if it hits you, you sacrifice your push with that so you have more abilities to use on wave and push back
Viktor is pressured to hit TF as much as possible to push him out of lane since TF has better waveclear early. Viktor is forced to use E to poke since Dopa makes sure to stay out of Q range.
if u wanna improve laning at mid, just watch some chovy / lpl midlaner streams. hell even though i dont like showmaker, his midlaning is pertty good too
That's cool, but why did he buy Mercuries? For tenacity when enemy team only has Victor stun and senna root or just for some MR because he can't fit MR cloak anywhere else?
@@urumi142 No it is absolutely not lol. You get the same amount of MR if you just sit on null-magic mantle and it's only 450 gold. Merc treads are only good for the tenacity.
@@aely5785 Well yeah but as a mage with Null you cant really upgrade into anything except Banshee or maybe Abyssal Mask (?) on Vex, but she doesnt even buy that anyways. So a lot of time buy merc to save a slot
@@urumi142 In that case just sit on the mantle. It doesn't save a slot, it wastes a useful boots upgrade, as most of the time as a mage you need either lucidity or sorcs (or even tabis if enemy team is heavy ad or aa dependant).
@@aely5785 Not upgrade Null is already a waste in slot. Using 350g more to get ms with Merc is way better than buying any boots since it surely delay mythic. You can see every single player, either ninja, merc, sorc, cdr boots but never have a single Null or Armor that doesnt upgrade into anything

Why the dopa plan is to let the first 3 waves push towards him? Couldn't he be doing a slowpush and trying to crash the 3 wave, so he can help viego invade or something.

Dopa once admitted he loss 9 out of 10 laning phases against Showmaker. Against Chovy, it’s 10 out of 10. Additionally, he said Chovy laning was the same level with prime Faker and Rookie
