This video is about how to rust proof the underbody of your car or trailer at home for under $100 using Lanolin. After 20 years in the automotive industry I stand by and still use a natural product that is far less toxic and easier to use than most commercially available products and works just as good. If done once every year or 2 your vehicle underbody / chassis will outlast you ! It is the perfect solution for 4wd vehicles that frequent the beach. Now go and do your car or trailer a favour :)

I find this far better than the commercial grade mine spec sprays that you can get. Once a stone chips chips the heavy duty stuff water gets trapped between the bitumen and the chassis which causes rust you can't see. Your method is way cheaper and better. Great video mate

Thanks for posting this. I have done the same too after viewing. How do you put the lanolin inside the chassis?

Thank you for watching Richard. I use a pump action garden weed sprayer with a wand attachment. That seems to get into tight areas of the chassis as best as possible and sprays a good strong fan. Regards, Justin

It being a lanolin product can I spray this straight on to surface rust under my 4x4 after I’ve hit it with a wire brush?

Hi Nas. Technically you could however I would recommend spot spraying a rust converter on the areas after you wire brush prior to Lanolin. Regards, Justin

been using inox/lanox for years 2 times a year and apply at least 2 or 3 weeks before you drive on the beach or salt water. I have a 1990 80 series and a 1996 camp trailer a 5L bottle will last me a year or 2 coats its the best rust prevention for your money both camp trailer and Landcruiser are rust free and I live about 200m from the beach

Hi Jonno. From personal experience I can tell you that there is no reason why you can't. Sand still won't stick to it even after only 24 hours but you may experience some coating loss if doing crossings etc
