Good honest review mate. I've got one and you can minimise condensation by setting the pole at 130cm and ensuring the fly is an inch or two off the ground to encourage airflow. Also make sure you have a good, taut pitch so the fly is well apart from the inner. However l'll be honest, l'm a summer camper so at night am able to leave the fly and the inner partially unzipped to allow air to circulate. Also, always have a J cloth or mini micro towel handy to wipe off any condensation you do see when you wake in the morning.
Counting the waling pole in the weight defeats the purpose. The is a hiking tent where I have walking poles with me all the time regardless of which tent I take with me. Therefore, the poles are not additional weight.
The condensation you have is due to the fact that you pitch it way too low to the ground, not allowing any air flow trough the net alla around the tent. Before selling it you should try it, since it is a game changing thing.
I have the same tent. Pitching it higher makes a huge difference enabling air flow through the tent. Even in a rain with moderate wind, it can be pitched high with great weather resistance.
6:09 Little tip for when it's sagging, extend your trekking pole higher from the inside of your tent. No need to jump back out and mess around with the pegs. I agree the condensation is horrible, I keep a shammy to dry it down which I can do in less than 2 minutes from the inside though it is a slight pain I must admit. Plus I was woken up one time with the rain smashing the condensation off of the tent onto me. Single skin for you I suppose though.
It's not 'around 600g' without pegs, it's 700g. I like mine (green), and I've had no trouble with condensation or anything else. It's a silnylon tent, so it will need retentioning when wet - you can do this from the inside by raising the pole if you're not inclined to exit. I don't see this as an all-weather tent, I use mine in better conditions (so haven't bothered seam-sealing) and have as much ventilation as possible. Anything more, and it's my Hexpeak V4A plus a suitable inner. Look forward to seeing how you get on with the Naturehike!
The Lanshan pro versions are silicon nylon and need silicone sealer - which dries clear like varnish. Your sealer looks a lot like the water based stuff for non silicone treated nylon - a bit like diluted white PVA glue. If so it should all just peel off as won't stick to the sil nylon.
