My husband, David, and I just got home to Alabama last night from North Carolina. We had a wonderful visit at Creekside on Wednesday! It is absolutely beautiful! We got to visit with Jerry and Jenny and even CeCe. Everyone was so nice. Of course, Jenny was working hard planting flowers! I offered Jerry a landscaping job but, apparently, a six hour drive is his limit!😂 The signature garden is gorgeous and I can’t wait to see what it looks like in just a few weeks. I only bought a couple of plants since we were so far from home but Prissy the Unique Stone chicken handled the trip perfectly!😊 We hope to make this an annual trip. Thank you Jenny and Jerry for your hospitality. Hope y’all have a wonderful day! Kelley Wright
I love lantana! And I absolutely love all your beds! I guarantee if I lived in area I'd be shopping your garden center! Thank you for all the knowledge you share about plants!
Hello from Waco, Texas! Thank you for taking time to visit with us on Saturday. You were just as charming in person as you are on your videos and we totally enjoyed seeing your property and visiting with you and Jerry. Continued best wishes for much success! Jo & Leon Williams
Jenny bless your heart ❤ the Lantana look great ! I cannot wait to see this place before this wedding. The effort that you have put in to making it look fantastic. It’s just heartwarming plus taking care of a business. That’s what makes your business grow because you were employees are your family.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good Morning Jenny, Lantana is such a staple in my garden. Mine is one of those plants that come back every year bigger and better. No deer touch’s it…yay 😂
Lovely 😍Back in the 90s in SriLanka I have seen these lantana varieties blooming so naturally in the wilderness. They have a characteristic smell, and fruits are edible 😊
Your gardens are going to be amazing for the wedding. I am going to definitely try the Lantana since I have exactly what you described-dry, hot weather without drip irrigation. Thanks foe the information 😊
Up early in Alabama to beat the heat and get a new bed finished. Funny you should mention removing grass, cause that’s what I’m doing. It’s a nightmare! Cardboard is my new best friend as I remove the lawn .
Jenny is so right - Lantana is glorious! It tends to start slowly waiting for the heat to begin and then it just takes off. There were hundreds of pollinators covering my Lantana from sun up to sun down, all the way past the first frost. It takes a lot to kill Lantana - they are one tough plant, and the colors are just beautiful. I'm going to try some of the Citron this year next to my Ascot Rainbow Spurge. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, look at all of the daylilies! They must be just beautiful when in bloom. I like the citron lantana alot and will most likely purchase some for my garden this year. Always appreciate all of the valuable information you share in your videos.
Ohh... 1 month from today... could see the panic flash across your face Jenny lol. Just remember to take some deep breaths and actually enjoy the upcoming day. Relax... we tend to put so much pressure on ourselves that it can start sucking the joy out of the experience. People are resilient and usually go with the flow if something does go array.
I have red, white, yellow, red& orange, pink& yellow lantana and my butterflies ,bees and hummingbirds love them. I have learned that some grow back on old wood and some grow all new from the ground so i am still learning which is which so i dont accidentally accidentally cut the new growth off. I am in East Texas so they love our humidity and heat❤
Mrs.Jenny your gardens are looking so pretty. I have 3 or 4 different type of Lantana they are pretty. Mines are starting to pop back up and flower ... They are Perennials for me here in Louisiana..
Have a bed very much Iike the one with the azaleas. It is just lined with the fine tree roots of a maple tree. Like a carpet. Even if the holes I chop out of the ground are big enough, the plant is surrounded by those fine mesh roots. One answer for me was to build up berms where I want plant life I place the plant in whatever depression I can make, and then pour loads of compost on top. Am usually planting three or four plants, and each plant can take half a bag of compost to cover them all. Then I push them in with my hands and rake it smooth. I always use bio tone and good compost. Started doing this three years ago, and the hellebores I planted like this are going great. I add bags of good compost to the top every year, because underneath is a problem. They are doing very well and some have doubled in size.
Jenny what do you think for(next year)about a flower arrangement done in “CSN” smack dab in the middle? Please give it a good thought- I think it would be An Eye Catcher For-sure!💐
Had you considered a row of the lavender you had success with on the back patio in front of the bank of yellow daylillies, or something blue or purple spired.
Hi Jenny! I love your videos, and was glad to see you highlighting lantana today! I have lantana planted in my backyard and it comes back every year. I remember you said that you don't water yours after the initial planting, but mine tends to get real dry and the ends of the leaves look brown if we don't receive rain each week. I live in Alabama, so it gets as hot here as it does in your area. Should I water my lantana during the summer, and if so, how much? Thank you for your continued inspiration!
May I suggest putting white hydrangeas on ether side of those beautiful pink azaleas. Some hydrangeas grow in the shade, right? Love your designs with the Lantana. Got to get some.
It will be gorgeous once they are at full bloom. Thank you for the videos. I bought the green 5-inch auger. I haven't used it yet. I'm still checking out drills. Do I use one of my husband's, or buy my own???
Your videos are always awesome and the gardens are beautiful!! I have a question since I just saw a map of where the cicadas will be coming out. I see western North Carolina is where the cicadas will come out. Will your gardens be affected??? Have you experienced them before???
Jenny, I am new to the south and had a lot of roses in California. Black spot is new to me. What do you do with your roses to keep them from black spot. Yours look wonderful.
I loved lantana, our garden had beautiful bushes when I was a child. Unfortunately, they are no longer allowed to be griwn in Cape Town gardens as they are considered an alien invader... they grow too well here😢
I am worried too and you’re right emailing does not work. I wish they would say if they can’t fulfill my order, refund my money and so I can purchase plants somewhere else before they are sold out. Hopefully we will get a resolution sooner than later. 🤞🏽
@@k.freeman2632 exactly! I seen the plants i ordered at a local nursery of mine and wanted so badly to just purchase them but thought I'd help support Jenny and the team. Hoping i don't regret it... praying both of us hear something soon
Battling quack grass. Hate it !! I have to use preen on all my perrienial beds and rock pathways cause if I don't come late May early June the cotton wood trees will destroy them.
