Thank you for visiting our Island. I saw you but you were busy taking pictures and videos. Lanzones Festival is the most awaited event in our island. This is the happiest festival ever. Our school won as the champion in street dancing and ground presentation. 🙂

Didnt even know there is such a festival like that in the Philippines.

Mangoes are the queen of Philippine fruits, but Lanzones are my favorite.

THE CAMIGUIN LANZONES ARE THE SWEETEST VARIETY. THEY OFTEN CALLED THE FRUIT OF GOD. EVERY PART OF THE TREE IS FULL OF MEDICINAL PURPOSE. THE FRUIT ALONE IS CLASSIFIED A SUPER FRUIT.

Fun fact for Lucy and George! Whenever there’s a festival in the Philippines, whether big or small, it ALMOST ALWAYS rains in the midst of a hot day! And we, as Filipinos, consider that rain as a blessing from the above 😊

It’s so fun watching you guys tour around Philippines. I was born there but moved to California when I was 10 yrs old. Only was able to visit ones back in 2004. Watching your videos makes me feel like I’m home. Hope your entire stay there are filled with joy and happiness. You guys definitely deserve it. ❤️

They have the sweetest Lanzones in the world because, as the old folks say, they have nutritious volcanic soil because Camiguin island sits on a dormant volcano.

The community participation is amazing. Most foreigners will find it daunting in their counties to find willing participants in such big public events. Filipinos are such fun loving people with a very warm sense of community.

Its my 4 years here now in Camiguin Island, working as an educator and the festival makes me feel part of the family. And the Lanzones is my fav fruit.

It takes months of practice under the sun in a vast field in order to memorize the routine. I miss joining these in HS in South Cotabato. We do not get paid. We just do it for the honor of our town or school, win or lose. I still remember our coaches would get mad by just 1 small mistake so we need to start again. I still keep what our coach said to us when we feel pain all over our body, "Feel the pain!". It was painful to practice that time and still study for school but it was fulfilling.

You can buy them in Manila, the place known for that is Laguna ( although it can grow everywhere now) and around September is the season for the lanzones. Filipinos love to dance and sing. I suggest you should try or if you could do research what are the traditional dances in the Philippines. My favourite one to watch is the Tinikling dance and the Singkil. Maybe the Cultural Art Centre or Folk Art Centre might have some activities for you to see. 😊👍

Hey. Nice video. A fellow Brit here. I had the same experience at the street dance competition. People would want me to stand in front, because they knew I was filming. I don't like blocking people's view so I spent a lot of time moving around or sitting on the floor! I fist arrived on Camiguin just before the Lanzones Festival. Now I live here :-)

We are flying out to the Philippines next week, and will be in Manilla from Nov 13th to the 19th - we are staying in BGC as we loved the look for the mall and Venice on your vlog. You guys should search on all the festivals there and try and visit all of them. Like for example in baguio there’s the flower festival which is in february i think and so on. That would be really awesome to witness those.

You have to watch the SINULOG SA KABATAAN in January here in Cebu. You guys will enjoy it.

I must say George when you really get tired of vlogging one day, either you become a rockstar or a broadcaster is the most natural thing you can do perfectly well. I am a Filipino but I haven't visited Camiguin to try their sweet lanzones. I'd be eating heaps of it when I get a chance!

Camiguin means come back again. That’s why its so famous most restaurants and fast foods always mention “Camiguin” after you dine!

George and Lucy, you definitely should try the lansones fruit... I have to travel thousands of miles across the ocean to have it as it’s not available here in the US. Plus, according to The God Culture, it is the forbidden fruit that Eve used to tempt Adam (no, it wasn’t an apple). Incidentally, The God Culture also mentions the island of Camiguin is a sacred, mysterious place (so is Mt Hibok-hibok on that island) as a gateway to the Garden of Eden...

A perfectly ripe Lanzones are sweet and slight;y tangy. You guys might enjoy it. No they're not as huge as those decors during the dance it's sized similarly to Calamansi and they're light yellow in colour.

Watching from from Dallas Texas Lanzones is one of my favorite fruits. Haven’t eaten thus fruit for 45 years since I came here in the US. It’s not lanzones season every time I come for vacation.

You should try to eat the Lanzones guys it has some kind of inique taste, the fruit is almost transparent white and sweet but be careful not to chew on its seed because it is bitter. The Lanzones fruits has a ancient history for the Philippines. I guessed so...😊👍 Nice vlog as always. Enjoy guys

Dang! Long time ago, the lanzones festival was like...carabao caravan filled with lanzones. You can even go with the parade while eating lanzones. When you get to love lanzones, careful not to eat too much, because it will give you chills and eventually fever, specially for those low immune system. Lanzones and Rambutan not good combination if you eat lots of them together.

We went to Camiguin this year right after we saw your vlog and it was great to be back on the island with our son.
