Hey Jesse, quick question. When you taste tea you do a specific facial expression with the eye brows going high, is that something you do in China to express it being very good?
Jesse! I just got my Monkey box in.... LOVE everything. Just drank this white tea with my wife this morning. Absolutely delicious! I was shocked how dark it was but that makes sense with what you just mentioned about the mountain.... I have a QUESTION! The monkey tea pet I lovingly named Sun Wukong, what are the markings on his butt? No one I know can figure it out. Are they suns, flowers? ... Something else? WOuld really appreciate your input. Peace and love G!
been interested in trying this one since i saw it pop up, it looks great extra good. question: i work with a bit of a smaller gaiwan, and im often brewing just for myself, so i usually only use about 3-4 grams of tea and still end up getting a liter or two of tea by the time ive finished (at least when it comes to teas that resteep 20 times like aged whites and pu-erhs or dahongpao, and i do enjoy the later steeps despite them being weaker, i tend to really stretch it out haha) but anyway, my question is, i could probably just break these 8g coins in half for my smaller gaiwan yes?
For loose i definitely encourage people to try diff amounts so you can see what you like! These are pressed too tight to break however. If it’s too much, you can cold brew with the remaining leaves
That's wonderful! It's really though to me brew very tight teas, especilly the white ones. How long should be each step? And how hot the water? Thanks for tips!
If you pour from higher up directly over the coin, it loosens them up easier. This trick doesn’t apply to this exact tea, but also if a tea would usually be steeped at a lower temperature a super quick wash at boiling helps a lot
how long does a tea session usually last for? and can you just have a solo tea session while working, studying, etc? or is it dependant on the tea steeping quickly and being drank in a timely manner
Def depends on how long it takes you to drink it. I do solo tea sessions while working all the time, i would say somewhere in the 5-15 minutes range at least for me.
No, this is what I got. I went back through one of your videos about the puerh tea, and you explained about cloudy which this one is not. Fuller leaves though a little bit of bits and pieces come off
