Well soda is mostly water so the added sugar is pretty close to the total sugar. Something like fruit juice though has a bunch of natural sugar so the added sugar is nowhere near the total sugar.

@@averagecarguy420 that still means that It has a misleading feel to it. And I find that unfortunate. Correct fruit juice has more natural sugar in it. But my point was focused around how they decided to only show added sugars instead of the the absolute total and used the added sugar as a way to demonstrate how they are considered separate.

Labels rarely exclude total sugars. Like the one in the video, it shows total sugars, then added sugars. If you want sugar labeling to be better, they should replace the added sugars section with types of sugars (glucose, fructose, etc), as that is more important.
