I think it's great that they made a lens. I'm not sure about the quality from reading a few reviews and 3.5 to 5.6 is not great in lowlight, but it's another option all the same and we shouldn't be too critical and given the price as well is going to be affordable I own the Fujifilm, 8-16 mm 2.8 and yes, it's a big beast of a lens, but the image quality is outstanding and I sell landscape photography as part of my income so I needed a really high-quality lens, but I don't begrudge the fact that this can get somebody a really good lens that works well and using that focal length for landscapes is great, especially beach photography as well or cityscapes. Thanks for the introduction to this lens Andrei! Could you perhaps show us some 1:1 crops for the center and corner performance at various apertures? The XF 10-24mm isn't stellar in the corners and the new XF 8mm isn't so good either when is comes to corner performance. I was hoping for this Laowa to do better, but after hearing what have to say about it, it isn't great either 😕

I'm looking for a lens to replace my XF10-24 which is very soft... especially in the corners. for my architectural and interior photography work it's not great with the XT-5, unfortunately. Is the tamron 11-20 the best option? THANKS !

I think the Sigma 10-18mm f2.8 is the best option.

I think the Canon RF-S 10-18mm would be a better option.

Im gonna get some hate on this one, buuut... I honestly dont understand why this exists. Its a manual wide angle zoom with a crappy aperture, something that in my mind is beyond stupid (And no, i dont consider the nature/architecture photographers use manual zoom as an argument). Anyway, not worth it at this price and performance levels, id rather buy a used xf 10-24 or the new sigma for a little more cash.

Too heavy. 9mm is lighter

It is not too heavy for a wide-angle zoom lens designed with a metal construction, which also includes an aperture ring. But the 9mm is a great option as well.

It doesn't matter where you read about Fujifilm, but somehow the lenses are always too heavy and too big. Thanks to all complaining, we only have wide angle lenses with soft corner performance for Fuji. I want the best quality, not a compromise. If you want small and light, go use an iPhone or something.
