SWAT units arriving on scene. Police were able to make entry inside, where they found the suspect deceased, from what appeared to be a self inflicted gunshot wound.
Around 2 PM today, LAPD responded to the area of Victory and Sylvia for a reported person firing shots in a neighborhood. LAPD arrived on scene and immediately requested backup, by placing a “help” call. More units arrived on scene, and officers created a large perimeter around the house, where the suspect remains barricaded inside. A SWAT team has been requested, and is responding to the incident.
Currently, houses around the immediate vicinity have also been evacuated.
