Hi everyone,
Hopefully it is no secret by now how much I love riding off road. All bikes are good bikes and it's just another type f adventure when away from tarmac.
The bike in this video is the Lapierre Spicy CF 7.9 Carbon Fibre 170mm Enduro MTB. New colours for 2023, what do you think?
I have quite a few races planned on this over coming weeks, so have been spending a lot of time getting used to riding it.

I would love to have some more mountainbike content. I also fell in love with mountainbiking again (age 35) and it is indeed a very different atmosphere than road races. More family feeling and less competition feeling

I bought this exact bike/colour after watching this review a number of times over. Surprisingly very little content on the 7.9 CF 2023. Can confirm it's a very capable bike.

My 1st two MTBs were Lapierre Zesty AM 527 (2014) and 827 (2016). Stand-out design, reliable, do anything, go anywhere MTBs. It’s been 10 years since Lapierre stopped exporting to U.S., I really do hope they return.

You should spend a couple of days doing some lakes classics such as Helvellyn, Borrowdale Bash, Skiddaw etc. That would be the ideal bike for it. Which by the way looks great!! I thought Lapierre MTB’s had gone off the boil over the past few years but they are definitely looking good now. You should try and get an entry for Ard Rock. That is thee Enduro in the UK for fun and a great weekends riding.

Love the colour scheme. At 48 I still love getting the MTB out over off season for the road bike. I mainly use the Hardtail to commute with a splash of off road. Considering a new Enduro in 2024 but will usually do what I always do come Spring and start looking at new road bikes 😂

Haha, I like your new bike plan. Spring / summer for road cycling is hard to beat! And there's something about building fitness which is hard to emulate when off-road.

Just wondering if you get a top out knock from the rear shock I've got the same bike absolutely love it apart from the knocking noise

No top out noise, have you played with the rebound damping and checked all pivots are tight?

Thanks for the reply the high speed rebound seems to be the problem if I dial it right down the knock goes but then the shock is super stiff and very slow to return to full travel , but really appreciate your advice thanks

Cross country all the way just watch the Olympic CC courses and that's more downhill than most will ever do despite their 985mm quad suspension. Plus you get to be able to cycle back up the hill too!

Cornish north coast rides :-) Are there any Sustrans routes you could highlight? West Country Way. Not that the Cornish need more tourists but the Camel Trail was the most used bike path in England at one point. The bike hire facilities were excellent 30 years ago. I love bike riding on the road to get out in the countryside, but without all the mud to clean up.

Yes, I definitely need to do the West Kernow Way next year. The Camel Trail is still fantastic, lots of good riding just off the route too. Unfortunately our roads when wet are just as dirty as off road, so I find myself choosing off-road more frequently to avoid the traffic.
