5 X World Record Holder | Ex Pro Bike Rider
I am Chris Opie.
I have raced bikes all over the world since 1998.
I retired from life as a Professional Cyclist in 2018 to take up a role presenting videos at Global Cycling Network , GCN.
I have a desire to try and compete and experience as many different disciplines from the world of cycling, I will be documenting it all along the way on this channel, whilst sharing over 20 years worth of knowledge and experience with you along the way.
I will also feature my routes, detailed looks at my bikes, the changes I make to them and an inside look at the work I do with Le Col.
For all enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact me here, info.chrisopie@gmail.com

My doberman pulled me down when he saw a cat during canicross, he went full action mode. Not fun 😅😅 but i do love running together!

Hello. Tell me, will the XL frame fit a height of 184 and a weight of 65-66 kilograms? Which spring is better for my weight?

My 1st two MTBs were Lapierre Zesty AM 527 (2014) and 827 (2016). Stand-out design, reliable, do anything, go anywhere MTBs. It’s been 10 years since Lapierre stopped exporting to U.S., I really do hope they return.

Appreciate the advice, I guess the phrase "embrace the suck" applies here quite well. Helps to know its not just me.

I bought this exact bike/colour after watching this review a number of times over. Surprisingly very little content on the 7.9 CF 2023. Can confirm it's a very capable bike.

Scott is brilliant he gave me a bike fit and it was such a difference . I had issues with my back and knee. I can highly recommend him he solved these issues 👍👍

Love what he said about running technique. I used to run with my husky and she made me run right. Smaller gate and high cadence to keep it nice and smooth. She taught me so much. Gutted she has gotten a bit too old for it now.

Dont really believe in any of this. I've lost fat and gained power and muscle and gained power and fat and muscle at the same time and still gained power

Problem with road racing is different levels , many people want to try it but thought of turning up and getting dropped after just 5 miles to then lose 15% speed by cycling on your own etc this After an hour or so s journey there puts a lot of people off , closed circuit races are better attended for this very reason ….. think should be more slower races to encourage people to race , turning up on a 90km race never raced before and trying to hang on with constant attacks and averaging 43kph , kicked out the back then riding along on your own does not encourage people to give it a do
