Okay storytime, I'm anonymous so I can let it all out. When I was around 14 I confessed to a girl. I told her that she gives me strength to fight evils. I told her I only survive the attacks everyday because she gives me strength. And hot damn I thought that was romantic. She turned me down obviously. And my dumb self really thought I should go to destroy the world when I grow up to show her it's her fault I don't have enough powers to stave off the "darkness". That's the reason why I started to try to understand villains more than the protagonists. I don't think you'd want a friend like me back then lol.

@@anonfinally1692 I mean you can't really blame yourself too hard when you were young. Who didn't want to awaken and have suddenly special powers one day? Personally, I would actually end up making friends with a lot of kids that were bullied or noticeably different. Not out of pity or anything, I'm super anti-social. I just didn't see why everyone felt the need to be mean to them. I had a friend that would cry over just about everything in class, I had a friend that was harassed for being too small, I had a friend that had some kind of mental disability, but he was actually really intelligent at certain things and even knew how to speak in binary. Nowadays I don't even have anyone that I can share my lame anime drawings with. That's why I like it when the girls share a little bit about themselves and it turns out to be a really relatable story about being awkward or having odd habits or just being an otaku. We're all a little weird, but that's fine.

He got so sad of it that he really announced to the whole school (during flag ceremony) that he shall unleash the power of his left hand. This became a school joke (until senior high) even though he transferred school when he started junior high. P.S yes we're still friends and no, he never regretted what he did since he became famous for it.

Really, the problem with stuff like isekais is not so much the idea but rather the execution. An idea only get so far if the writing don't back it up.

Fr man, cultivation is like isekai mangas but with dogshit art. At least isekai mangas didn't just use random 3d assets and actually know some art, I swear even La+ character design sheets here have better art than half the cultivation manhwas/manhuas and even their actual anime adaptations' art I've seen, and she was definitely way younger than maybe half of those Chinese manhwa writers at the time she conceptualized these.

You don't even need to redraw John James. I just imagine a random shmoe shmuckerson who happens to look like him getting picked off the street to act in front of a greenscreen to get CGI'd into an anime and it's glorious, kinda' reminds me a bit of Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan where they just photoshop a random white dude who worked with the studio all over season 2.
