@@TombRaider_Remastered i don’t remember lara voice sounding this deep also it doesn’t make sense making her sound like the og if they are using remake model and dialogue is referencing events of 2013 game that’s like if they added robert englund’s voice to 2010 remake freddy
The combination of Tomb Raider legend and Tomb Raider 2013 into one Lara was very well done No doubt crystal dynamics told bhvr make sure to direct her voice more UNIFIED since everything with tomb raider is now suppose to represent the series as a whole and not one specific timeline Amazing job to the actress for playing ALL Lara’s so no fan is left behind 💚💚🏹🏹
When DBD first started, all characters were voiced by various staff members at BHVR (ie, not professionals). I'd guess it was likely to keep costs down--no need to pay extra for a professional VA as well as fewer voice lines allowed that energy to be spent elsewhere. It wasn't until Ash that we had a character voiced by a professional actor/VA, but even then they returned to staff members for character voices until the All-Kill chapter, in which Trickster and Yun-Jin were voiced by professional VAs. From that point on, I believe every character since has been voiced by a professional VA, as DBD had established itself as a lucrative IP and allowed for a larger budget. I'd wager they'll never go back to add in voice lines for old characters. One, it would be an additional cost for what would ultimately be a minor cosmetic change. Two, because many older characters were voiced by BHVR staff, it's entirely possible that they no longer work at BHVR and no longer have contact or would otherwise be unwilling to reprise their role (in addition to them probably not having professional voiceover training). The only other option would be to rehash the entire character with a new VA, which, again, more costly, as well as potential backlash for changing what doesn't need fixing. To my knowledge, there have been only two complete re-voicings of characters--Kate, whose voice on her PTB was deemed far too shrill by players (though BHVR claims it was always a placeholder), and Jonah, whose original voice actor was caught in a scandal and was dropped entirely. Now, Jill and Leon did begin without any voicelines that were later added in when Project W dropped, but RE is a very popular IP and both of them were voiced by professionals who could reprise their role, making this a comparatively safer and easier choice compared to a DBD original character. Overall, it would be a lot of work for probably little payoff, but not impossible, I suppose.
@estasdeprimido5757 I played through Tomb Raider 2013 just last week, her dialogue in this game is pretty bland in comparison almost like it's less on her reaction to things in the world and just are genuine "oh shoot" statements
@estasdeprimido5757 its cause this isnt the actual Lara Croft VA its some random bri'ish lady so thats why it doesnt sound as good as the Tomb Raider games, Alan Wake actually has Matthew Poretta himself voicing him so thats why his voice sounds so good
Hey so I've been having a bug recently on dbd where whenever someone gets a flashlight save, someone in the match instantly dies and the person on the killers shoulder is permanently stuck and even end game collapse won't stop it. It's happened to me twice now I play on ps4 has anyone else had this issue?
It's a glitch that happens when the killer tries to remote hook someone but it randomly chooses someone else in the match. It probably won't get fixed.
@@cloutchasingisdead2341look up tomb raider legend, they took heavy inspiration from that game which is funny because that game took heavy inspiration from the 2001 Tomb Raider film with Angelina Jolie.
Alan Wake = Kate Denson (Alice outfit) Lara Croft = Samantha Giddings (If Until dawn will release in the future) it’s like they found them but they’re different characters
I'm sorry, but I really don't like her voicelines. It's like trying to copy the older lara from her playstation days. They couldn't try to get her proper voice actress or someone younger sounding which this depiction is supposed to be? I also think they didn't capture the scared tone at all which Survivor Lara is meant to be.
They actually were more so copying Keeley Hawes which she’s from Tomb Raider Legend This voice actress was directed in a “unification” version of Lara Croft. Crystal dynamics are in the process of making the UNIFIED timeline which means all the Lara’s are the same just different point’s in her life The only collab to actually get one of the 5 voice actresses who have played Lara Croft in the mainline games is CALL OF DUTY. They brought in Keeley Hawes who has done 5 tomb raider games already. Their are 20 in total
This accent doesn't fit Lara much lol, i played some of the tomb raider games including the one from 2013 and i surely don't remeber Lara having an accent like that, and also these voice lines are kinda bland lmao
She always had a British accent, lol. Been playing TR since 1997 and have played the originals and the reboot trilogy inside out, and in every single iteration she has a British accent because being British is kind of part of her story.
You probably last played a tr games like 15+ years ago so makes sense your memory doesn’t serve correctly But if you look up tomb raider legend, dbd sounds basically like a Unified version of legend and 2013 Lara into one character
