I was Gen Jockey Dwight in your 2nd game lol I used Invocation to give the gens 10 charges and was also using the Lara perk. I wondered who got that skeleton key. And sorry man I was trying to give you game. I went against the same Knight previously and he was just super sweating. GGs man

Really hope they don't ruin her perks. They're awesome and already require a lot of set up to activate (except parkour!). But it's worth it. Bare in mind also, they're limited number of chests. So it's not like you can apply it to every single gen in a match. You can get more to spawn and stuff. But jus look at how many perk slots it takes to really kill a gen... Hope they don't make nerf them.

All chests can only be rummaged through once per trial, across all survivors, meaning you can get only two tokens per chest. If all four survivors bring Shiny Coins and the killer brings Hoarder, you can get up to 13 chests in a trial. Each Survivor, with Appraisal, can acquire 8 Specialist tokens from the chests (4 chests). This means that three survivors can use all chests with one leftover, so one of those three may be better off bringing Residual Manifest or Scavenger to acquire that last token from the thirteenth chest. This means that there are 26 Specialist tokens at play here. In sum, if all of those tokens are used, they will reduce total generator progression by 104 charges. This can be further enhanced by four BNPs to 144, and the use of Invocation: Weaving Spiders to reduce it further by an effective 50 charges (only five generators are needed to be completed, wasting the other 20 charges). So, on average, maximizing this perk's potential, you will be able to save an average of 38.8 charges on each generator, over 1/3 of it. Of course, practically speaking, you'd be wasting a lot more time than if you just stuck the generators, and you could easily reduce a generator's minimum charges to 0, although once you get to a certain point, you'd likely complete it before you could get the charges applied. You'd have to have the generator at 0 and use a BNP while its charge maximum is at like, ten. You could have done this before, with some patience, if you used Dramaturgy to spawn BNPs. Honestly, really curious to know how this would play because I feel like that would genuinely break the game because it's built on spit and prayers as it is.

if everyone has a rummange build with one person using weaving spiders, all brand new parts, and all with shiny coin you can get 210 charges total off of gens which equals 2.33 gens. so if you split it up all 5 gens will cost roughly half of what they would need to finish

Crush when you entity block a window then go back to it later on it blocks after one vault now instead of the three. Idk why that is but apparently it’s supposed to be an intended feature 😒

Using finesse and resilience is actually smart. 20% vault speed when healthy from finesse and can be used multiple times, made even better by lithe. When injured, 9% vault speed from resilience, so no matter if you're healthy or injured, you always have a vault speed buff. Those 2 effects don't "stack" together because they activate in different health states :)

This might be great perk for against 3 gen defense killer type.

Honestly this is going to get nerfed. Like you said a team with this would be broken and annoying. I think a token decrease, the amount of charges you get is lowered, or just make where it can’t stack with other Specialist perks.

currently, swf can end a game in approximately 3 minutes if they all have gen rushing builds. this perk is far from being able to end a game in 3 minutes, it's very gimmicky for swf. its only great use imo is for dire situations, where the killer manages to get a hold on all gens, in which case you look for chests, to slowly reduce the gens charges until you can actually finish it quickly enough for the killer to not be able to react

4 brand new parts can be put on one gen and the invocation perk is done with this new perk there will be 16 charges left on a gen but if the specialist perk can also be done on the same gen then the gen would finish its self

Man people who dc are so cringe. This is why we don't remove the dc penalty, this would be every single game. Also, the items you're digging out of those chests are nice for your teammates. Especially if they need a medkit or w/e. Ace in the Hole to give it good addons maybe? Would be kind of sick.

Honestly limiting permanent gen charge removal to like a max of 20ish charges off would be the best way to balance this, so that a team can't invocation, specialist and BNP a gen to reduce it to be super low, you could do any combo of the two but not all 3. It would still have value but not lead to 4X -32 charge gens

so you cant rummage a chest twich with appraisal however the haddie flashlight perk gives you a free flashlight rummage with can be used on the same chest with appraisal.

first time i played the ptb i thought of this, this is insane because of the squad potential. imagine a gen with like 10% progress needed.

Tbf almost requiring appraisal to make the perk valid seems a little cooked so they could change it so instead of getting 1/2/3 charges you just need to loot one chest for an immediate 8 charges but you can only do it once (or at least only once per gen)

Appraisal states “Rummaging is only available once per Chest.” But I think that’s a universal rummage, I could be completely wrong

Why not bring a shiny coin to ensure extra chests on the map and weaving spiders to synergize??

Imagine the possibility of denying a 3 gen by knocking off 2/3rds off 2 of them at the start of the match. Leave them at 0% progress, then almost instant popping them.

This perk is F rate. You will make more gen progress just by sticking to every gen you see. Looking around for chest, opening them its a waste of time. It's seems strong but just do a simple math. ~20 seconds to find a chest + 10 seconds to open it. You get like 7,2 seconds of gen progress for that. xD If you want to run it with Appraisal you have to sacrifice perk slot...

Bhvr should make it so the first charge reduction is 100% effective and then any other charge reductions on that same gen are reduced by 50%

I can see this being really good in a 3 gen situation especially with potential energy

I love how behavior give all this gen rush stuff, but limits kicks by killers to 8. They could atleast give killers a perk that increases gen charges. I guess there goal is to make everyone that plays killer quit the game.

I am so confused with BVHR's decision in creating more gen perks. Like I am not complaining to have another gen speed perk for playing survivor. I will absolutely use it to rush gens. It is just I thought BVHR wanted the game to steer away from rushing or slowing down gens. They wanted to DBD be a more chase oriented game. Yet, they nerf gen regression and at the same time add gen speed perks on the survivor side. The DnD DLC, they nerfed more gen regression perks and added a gen speed perk for survivor. Now another gen boost perk. So, that leads to casual killer players to tunnel even more. Like casuals by definition are not going to get good because they are casual. So, they will tunnel more when gens go faster. Then BVHR adds more gen boost to help survivors. Then it becomes this never ending cycle.

and on live it's gonna be 6 tokens instead of 3 on the ptb... damn

Honestly this perk isn’t game changing whatsoever it’s a good perk to add to another build for survivors to use, killers have tons of outstanding perks and with the right killer build can counter this entirely. The time it takes to rummage all of those chests granted you want to be able to utilize this to its full potential, it’s better off to just do the gens alone so it’s not even considered overpowered

I feel it's a perk that could be decent if you are 3 gen'd and you need to do the gen faster than normal

Sometimes the bots are genuinely better than regular teammates.. At least the bots know where every gen is and because you can't mind game them they always loop the killer for at least a minute or so (Granted, wasting every pallet in the process but still..)

l dont play this game anymore since idk 2021 l think, but honestly this perk is getting hyped up for nothing. First, time spent opening chest could be used doing gens Second you need to find at least 2 chest for this to be any meaningful (or waste a perk slot using scavenger or w.e that perk name is) Lastly the argument of "its a progress the killer cant take" is easily countered by " a gen completely done is also a progress the killer cant take" so yea. Not to mention how u can get spotted while u chest hunt and start a chase and potentially die. But yea, again, l dont play this in forever so what do lk right?

it takes 90 seconds to finish a gen. doing all this takes more than 90 seconds. you can have 2 people pushing different gens in a 3 gen situation. this perk is fine.

Killers can camp tunnel and slug I think this perk is fair. Instead of just bullying 2 people now they have to actually try and get everyone. Plus it’s not like there are infinite chests. To pull of an effective use of this perk it takes 2 perk slots which would otherwise be allocated to looping the killer for 3 gens so I think it’s balanced. Plus u have to hit a great skill check which means it’s not on command exactly

This is nothing compared to Streetwise + Built to Last + Hyperfocus + Stake Out w/ a Commodius w/ Wire Spools + Socket Swivels, except for the fact that it isn't countered by Franklin's. Lara's perks feel really underwhelming except for the vault one tbh.

Specialist ain't big of a deal. Think how much time is wasted opening chests instead fixing the gens, and only for being reduced with 4. And not to mention that for the gear you must be lucky to aim for the great skill... The perk will be usefull only if the rest of your teammates will bring the same perk. Otherwise it's useless...

Sadly, those bots are probably more useful than your teammates would ever be in that first match. Next time you Survivor players are thinking of leaving, just know we are hoping you do. Usually the bots do better jobs than you do.
