This is the song from the movie I.T. ( artificial intelligence) from Steven Spielberg. The composer is John Williams. They were searching for a month for a singer to sing the song for the movie credits at the End. No luck until, Lara came in and Williams ask if she would like to take a hour or so to familiarize with the song and tone. She look at the sheet of the song and said, nah I am good to go right now. She nailed it on the first try and Williams told Steven immediately on the phone, we have are singer.
Haha, the movie is AI for Artificial Intelligence. Lara was chosen to sing this for the movie. It was a great opportunity for Josh Groban in this live concert. Lara did her best not to overpower him. LOL

Hi tee, thanks again. See my response to Donald for the context of this song. The song was written by John Williams and there were 2 versions of this song in the A.I. Soundtrack: a solo from Lara and this duet with Josh. But only the duet was performed live unfortunately. Lara is an amazing duet partner: she always pay attention to her counterparts, do not compete with them and give them room to shine, even if this constraints her own expression. She always value the global and joint rendition more than her ego. This is not often the case with some other great singers.
Thanks Tee for getting back to Lara a bit. This duo is exceptional. I had read that Josh was young and he had heard him sing before. He was impressed to sing with her. Besides, it shows, because Lara is liberated in her body and her gestures as much as Josh is straight as a post. She seeks physical connection with him and it's only at the end that Josh reaches out. It's the same with Mickael Bolton for the Prayer.....I hope you will also do this magnificent Duo.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M__6PFD1YEw.html. I never tire of listening to them. (Sorry Tee, but don't forget to put the automatic translation because I don't fully master English). See you soon Tee
This song is from the film A.I. Spielberg finished the film which was the last film by Stanley Kubrick. Kubrick always insisted on music with no vocal words, so it was an instrumental with wordless vocals in the film. On the soundtrack CD there are two versions. One with Lara as a solo vocal, an the other as a duet with Josh Groban. This was her first live performance of the song with Josh Groban. The following summer John Williams duplicated this concert at Tangelwood and Josh was not available. Lara sang it as a solo and there was total silence when she finished! James Taylor was in the audience and came to the stage after the concert to give his kudos to Lara. Lara told James that her father would be jealous of her as he was her dad's favorite singer.
Please, just watch Lara singing this song 17 after this performance you've just reacted. It was last year (2019), she was already 49 years. The duet was with the amazing singer Bruno Pelletier, Lara and him have been singing together since earlier 1990's. I hope you gonna like it. Don't need to react to it, just compare this performance of her in 2019 and the one you've reacted which was in 2002. She hasn't sang this since 2002. Wow! Thanks. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J44eUPA49Hw.html
