Lara Fabian - Caruso (REACTION) First Time Hearing It 

No question about it, best female vocalist, any song from her is a masterpiece

She definitely draws you into the story no matter what language she’s singing and pure emotion

Very moving to see you cry when hearing that incredible and wonderful performance of Lara. Yes, Lara delivers everything: technical mastering, beauty, emotion, and her version of that beautiful song is very personal. Lara is unique.

Caruso, is an italian song, written, composed and performed in 1986 by Lucio Dalla as a tribute to Enrico Caruso, the most famous tenor of his time (late 19th / early 20th century). He was the first global singing superstar. The story is about the last days of Enrico Caruso, he knows he is dying, and he is remembering all his career on stage and telling his much younger wife how much he loves her. It has very quickly become a classic of italia music and the biggest names have covered it (Julio Iglesias, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, …. and of course Luciano Pavarotti). I was told that Lucio Dalla himself, after hearing this performance, said that she made it her song and this is the best version he has heard from it. For Lara, this song is really important as this is a kind of anthem for Italy, and she is so much connected to this country. She spent the first few years of her life there with her sicilian mother and grandma. Italian is her first native language. Her husband is also sicilian. She also has been living there for the past few months since the end of 2022.

She’s singing this in her Eastern European concert tour going on now. I’ve been watching the fan videos coming out over and over. I can honestly say she’s the only singer who has ever made me cry.

I believe her every word, every breath, every movement and look at her eyes. She is a sensual woman without being intrusive. I love Lara. You responded very nicely, thank you.

This is my favorite , 2nd is from 2010 Las Vegas, she has a beautiful red dress. And 3rd is from 2022 on the Live CD that i bought. She has amazing Spanish songs aswell, i bought a pretty expensive oop 2nd version of her first English album in the Spanish edition. 5 great bonus tracks in Spanish on it, incl Quédate from Lara with love 👌.

New subscriber. Discovered your channel for Home Free and was thrilled to also see Lara Fabian reactions. First discovered her back in the VCR days when I recorded some international music show (from perhaps Switzerland?) of her performance of 'Adagio.' Loved her ever since. Literally wore out the tape rewinding/rewatching. Regardless as to which of her songs, they are beyond amazing and always bring tears. First time hearing her 'Caruso' it didn't immediately grab like some others but she definitely works her magic here. She has such a haunting quality, her tunes play over and over in my head. In my next life, want to be a polyglot. All those languages, moving seamlessly between them. Fascinating.

She often say to youg singner: more that know the technic more you can let it go when it's time to perfome. She worked and still does, her lyric technic, so when she is on stage she is free and she trust her body and her emotion that they will bring out the best out of her. Awesome reaction to one of my favourite songs of all time, and her version is amazingly beautiful (the best imo) I remember the first time I heard Caruso. It was on a talent show in Norway where people from other countries could participate (90’s). It was a 13 year old Italian boy who sang it. Me and my boyfriend was hypnotised by how beautiful the song was, but we didn’t catch the name of the song. This was before google lol I spent quite some time trying to find out which song it was but with no luck. I already loved Lara when she did this cover, I was so happy to finally find it, and it was by one of my favourite artists😍😍 Italian is imo the most beautiful language in the world. The most beautiful song ever. It's about a sick man about to die and hi's thoughts at point. In Sorrento, a beautiful place in from of the sea south Italy. Remembering his life, watching the sea and feeling the pain of be bonded to this woman but being at the end of his life. It's just a masterpiece not many people know. Glad you enjoyed :)
