Re: Rollercoaster Tycoon, my son and I were there on the 6th April and we played it :-) In fact it held his attention more than anything else and has been begging me to get a copy since.
oh, Dave, again with the 'Super Mario World' on the Gameboy..... just remember this - 'world' is on the console, 'land' is on the handheld. Anyone would think you were one of those snobby PC gamers. Unless you were talking about the Gameboy Advance - which you were, right? :)
The IT teacher in our local elementary school (my kids study at) has his own retro collection and he actually brought all his stuff into the school for a retro Saturday for the kids to play old stuff, all the 8-16 bit classics - for free of course!
*Floppy Disks* I know in 1996 I was storing my personal data on floppy diskettes still. I mean, if I wanted to transport it somewhere. I had a lot of pressed CDs but I don't think I got an actual CD burner until the early 2000's
Some good lists but I'd want these characters to still be relevant/recognised by all ages today. So yes cast aside baldur's gate 3 characters but also Horace/Roland. Prince of Persia and Ryu stay because they've had recent releases.
Sega already sells you Sega ages packaged individual games on the app store. Streets of rage classic, sonic cd classic, golden axe classics. They all appear to be the mega drive games repackaged up.
I wanted to listen to the tune from H0ffman, but when I scrolled down to find it, the link in the show notes was a duplicated link of the Legal Action to Protect games. Is it possible to get the link to the H0ffman music? Thank you
@@NorthWay_no All good! As for the naming scheme, i agree but sometimes it kind of makes sense, in a broad or general sense for Nvidia: - the first number (500 or 700, even 1000 or 3000) is the generational number, - the next number (30, 50, 60, 70 ... 90) is the tier or grade within that generation, - the 'ti' usually meant a better die or some such, i see it as half a tier difference So the 570ti is the 5th generation, middle to high tier, above average die The 730 is a '7th' generation, garbage/very low budget tier. There are also some generation skips (for example 800 only has mobile chips, from 1000 to 2000 etc) On the higher end I often just 'add 8.5 to 9 tiers' to get a similar performance so the 680 is similar to a 770; a 1070ti is similar to a 2060 But this gets screwy once you compare more budget tiers to higher ends The 730 is such an extremely low tier that it basically is worse than a lot of integrated graphics chips.
43:00 or they go bankrupt and it is split up or purchased, they may not want to keep anything alive on a system they didn't make, they just want some IP's or keep them away from others.
