In the end of the video where the sound was lost, we are discussing more about the top scenario. pop basically covered what we were saying in his interjection but I was just acknowledging that i should have gone with the cut that i'm used to doing in the first place rather than going for the Humboldt. (there's a time and a place for that and this was not it). Also that there should have been more communication between me and the guys on the ground for when to pull/not pull. At the end of the day it was not the biggest deal, nothing got broken, nobody was hurt, and we laughed it off, but it was definitely a learning experience. Stay safe be kind and thanks for watching
Hey, I like that you were going for it to learn what will be the best cut..also great use of the wedge to free the pinch...and other wedge as hammer...I like it
That looks like a safety felling technique we do in Germany when it comes to winch assisted fellings. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7H4jCo4NuW0.html
You ramble all you want, be true to yourself. This is your channel and the army loves you as you are. Continue you mission in life. Hi from the Y.P. of Michigan
Heck yes, the ramblings of BR before and after the wood drops is all part of the experience. I appreciated working through the process with you n Ganges first hand...love you guys
@@AuctionIndiana I woulda given more, but they put a max limit on super chats 😊 The Smith family severely touched the hearts of me and my family and neighbors by giving us the most valuable gift of all...THEIR TIME. We want to do our part to help them continue to reach out and touch other's lives.
It's nice to see the army and the recipient program at work. It takes all of our participation within this community to make this all happen. Really feeling the power of love. LOVE IS THE MOST POWERFUL MEASUREABLE FORCE IN THE UNIVERSE! WELCOME NEW NEW SUBSCRIBERS!
I’m really glad you bring us along through your thought process and planning. It makes the vids so much more interesting. It’s fun to watch a man who loves and is really good at his trade.
Great upload video. Thanks for sharing the triumphs and vulnerabilities. We learn so much from the details in the thinking process and willingness to share afterthoughts. Gotta tell you I was a little nervous with Ganges up top with a snappin’ cedar. But had a small chuckle later seeing I wasn’t the only one to ever land flat on my keister.
Buckin, I always appreciate the commentary and breakdown of the jobs you're doing. I've learned a ton of helpful tips for cutting timber. Keep it up! This was an interesting job to watch, cheers!
Nice work Ganges. I love seeing you in the trees. Cant say it enough but it's amazing how well you are taking to the work you guys do. Keep up the good work, in the trees and on the camera. 🌲❤🌲✊
Hey Buckin and Hogan, great job helping those folks out. I know it was a learning experience for you and Ganges. I like when give us your thoughts on the decisions you make when felling a tree 🌲. Helps me to understand the process. Keep up the great work, stay safe. Love to the community.

You are the best precision faller on Earth Billy Ray, a great person, who gives us a simple and useful advices how to handle in a different circumstances. I am a logger too, and I have to say that you show me a lot. God bless you and your family. Greetings from SLOVENIA :)
I found this channel thanks to Logger Wade and I am so grateful to see how talented both of you are. And your channel was just what I needed to watch......a sea of calm in troubled waters. Thoroughly enjoyed the video and look forward to seeing many more. Liked and subscribed. Thanks for posting
Buckin, you’re son is great at what he does because of you! Nobody is going to be a better teacher than you. I’ve learned a lot from my father. Keep it up! Your legacy will live on in your son.
I love hearing the process and the details of everything that you do. Keep doing the beautiful work you do, as a tree man and as a content creator. That's what makes the Buckin Special. 👍
Buckin I personally love when you explain your plan to fell each specific tree. I really like how you explain all the things to watch for when felling certain species of trees. Please continue the perfect teachings you do I greatly enjoy all of it. No one else even comes close to your explaining techniques. You make it fun and exciting. Be safe buddy thanks for all the amazing footage.
Thanks for taking the time to explain what your doing, Buckin! I am from Iowa USA and burned wood for 30 yrs but never have done anything like what you do. Savage!
I love the explanations Buckin, please continue to go through your job planning and methodology as it’s incredibly useful for aspiring tree workers. Thanks again
That just looks fun all around. Someday i will get there! Time, patience, and more practice will get me there! Glad you had fun. That you Mr Lacount for opening your property to all of us here!
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith i'm 47, turning 48 this year, have spent 25 years being a Paramedic, and no one is ever too old to learn! One step at a time after all, right? Lol! Have a great day Mr Smith Don, that Northern Alberta guy! 👍
Hi, buckin'... I'm a new subscriber and I've been pretty much binge watching your channel. I started watching your vids because it's great learning how to fell tree's from someone like you. Your son is lucky to have such a mentor. But, now I've started to just watch this channel because of you. Your point of view on life & your little messages in your videos are actually helping me out. I'm getting out of the military soon and I've become very unhappy over the years and I've gotten to the point where I need something new and then I found your channel as if almost because I was meant to. You've been teaching me how to look at the world differently and how to basically brighten up. I just want to say thank you for being who you are, being someone I could see myself wanting to emulate.
Welcome , there is a lot of great people here who truly care about others and buckin is awesome! Hope you make the transition without having to much trouble. Thank you for your service
Good afternoon Buckin, Ganges and the entire Buckin Army. Welcome to ALL the newcomers. Pop into the comments and introduce yourself. You're among 142,000 new friends. Hey Buckin, Watching Hogan grow into an outstanding young tree man is awesome, but to be honest, I wouldn't expect anything else considering the teacher he has. I know you're extremely proud of the young man, as you should be. Love and blessings to you and your whole family. Please give everyone a big hug for me and you & Hogan be safe up there.
LOVE this channel for its display of the critical thinking, humanity, logic, and humor to be found in the trades and specialities - skilled folks who combine labor, wit, patience, and tools. Helluva world we live in now: folks who sit at desks for a living can watch clips of a skilled treesman knocking down giant cedars like dominoes, and think to themselves “what can I do to be as good at my craft as they are at their own, make my days more deliberate, and get more joy outta things?”
Great job fellas.. Hogan's become a stellar tree man for sure :) All the best to you, Hogan, Wendy and Rita, Mama Buckin' and Bobo, the LaCounts and the rest of the Army.. Have a great weekend :) … Oh.. where did the sound go at the end there ? Haha!
Hope everyone is having a great day. Love the explanation of what n why ur doing what you're doing. I try to learn something new every day. Stay positive everyone. If someone's having a rough time just remember things will change. Love wins.
Some of us out here don’t have a clue how to do what you guys do. It’s very interesting and informative to hear your thought process before a cut. Scares me to think back on the few trees I’ve felled in the past! Be kind all!
Buckin, I am so appreciative of you involving Hogan in ur videos as it shows how father's teach and include their son's in the business. Hogan seems to also appreciate your teaching him the ropes hey. I really love your family values and your communication that is part of your work with every video. Thank you for your detailed explanations in your videos which makes it very interesting to watch. UDA man and keep the faith in humanity and God.
Trying things and making mistakes along the way is how you learn and improve. Nobody wants to make a mistake but being able to learn from them is a wonderful trait to have! Good work fellas! Love to you and the family❤️
Since I been watching ur shows I've learned a lot on how to better myself on cutting down diff tree's and sizes thank you stay safe and keep cutting and I'll keep watching
YES, love the preamble of what you are both about to do with the tree...ie: where it’s going and why it will go that way by what manner you cut! Love the rambling, babbling!
Personally, I appreciate both your preambles as you call them -- Explaining the job in advance. And the review too. The pro and con of topping that tree. I think that helps us all in our tree thinking.
Another great video bucking and ol Ganges must make u very proud. I've been watching ur video's for a couple of years now and he sure is becoming a hell of a woodsman keep up the good work
Keep doing the videos the way you have been buddy! That's what got us here and helps keeps us here!! I appreciate the good content and the info that comes with it! Thanks again for being you pal and God bless everyone!!!!
Solutely love the rambling and appreciate the opportunity to learn while being entertained your young man is turning into a very well-rounded tree man thank you for sharing your Journeys
A humble self confident man is not afraid to pass along experiential knowledge...one of the things that attracted me to the channel. Also, it’s a particular skill to make complicated principles understandable. Some like to by design and others simply are not able. You always clearly explain that makes it accessible to ALL. Please keep it up Buckin!
Please keep giving us your explanations and insights! Running the saw is easy ;) Understanding the trees not so much ;) How to read and understand the tree is a huge part of what you're teaching us about this work ;) That and gettin' the gullet ! lol
I mainly watch you for your explanations. Please never stop sharing your knowledge. It's MUCH appreciated!!!! Hogan is a lucky fellow. Soaking up your expertise like a sponge! Thank you.😊
Mistakes are good learning opportunities especially if you can walk away from them. I really appreciate the explanations as I know it helps me with understanding what you are doing as well as my learning. Nice to see you passing on the knowledge to your son and him becoming better and better. Stay safe.
Buckin', the babblin' is the best bit! A big part of the enjoyment of these videos for me is that you do explain, argue with yourself and talk the job through. It makes each job another opportunity to learn a bit more and adds to the entertainment too. Nice shot Buckin'!
Go on BBR with your videos make what you want to do Videos are perfect with experience and understanding professionalism and ♥️👍 And important you’re a good father Cheers from an old chap from Luxembourg 🇱🇺
"Buckin your remind me of my best friend who died when we were 16 it's your attitude and personality love and miss I feel like I get a little of him when I watch your videos thank you"
I love the passion you have for your work and that you are teaching not only your son but the ones who watch your videos the skills of your trade. I have great respect for a man who teaches others the skills of his trade. Without men like you the world will be lost for men of skilled trades. I have learned many things from my father and grandfather that I will never forget. Passion for ones work is one of the biggest things I’ve learned, no matter what the job. A man who has no passion for his skills cannot teach his skills to anyone else and his knowledge will be lost for future generations.
Ole' Husky Harvey, Never Skipped A Beat ! Doing a Great Job, Hogan ! Just Look @ The Team Work, Great Job, All ! Another Top Notch Vid, ! Prayer's & Hugs For Bo - Bo & Family, Love Ya's All ! ATB T God Bless
I have learned so much from this channel l can do most of the things I see safely. I make a lil money but the practice is priceless. I just take my time.
Being that close to the house would make anyone nervous let alone the height of the trees.... Hogan as well as all of us want to hear all aspects of what you see. It’s the only way we can learn and I along will everyone appreciate all that you do brother! Keep up the good work and be safe!
Bucking, please keep letting us know what your thoughts are behind every under- and backcut. It is so helpful to know why you do things like you do. Everybody can learn to set a cut but it is the thought process around it what makes it really interesting. Keep up the good work!
Good morning everyone. The preamble is one of the reasons I watch and subscribe. Buckin , hogan is really improved and a pleasure to watch as well as yourself! Love the videos. Love does win!
Billy you are truly blessed to have a son who cares about what you do and wants to follow in your foot steps. You are his hero just as my father is my hero. I could only wish that I one day have a son that gives a crap about my life's work and legacy. Man Hogan is a natural at that climbing,.
I believe the boy is far enough along that he can now make the decisions from up in the tree. I think he has allot of honor, & I dont think he would do anything he wasnt positive about. He would ask for help if he needs it. You're making a great man, & I believe you can trust him completely Much love fellers STAY SAFE
hey dude, idk if you remember me, i'm the belgian guy who leaved a comment some weeks ago... I said you were inspiring and all good stuff... Here I saw your thumbnail with "turn you passion a life job" or something like that... I just, after 6 months of selections and exams, get hired on Belgian Railways, the passion that i had with my dad, dead some months ago now. Your message is powerful, you spread love all over RU-vid, thanks for that, cheers! :*
Hay bucking I'm to old to do falling no but I love watching the art of falling my dad was a faller years ago with a Axe and a crosscut saw not a power saw love your Chanel you and your son do great work my friend !!!!!
