Seeing that one cichlid with the messed up mouth reminded me of my caudopunctatus that used to ruin each others jaws like that from time to time. When they sparred, occasionally their jaw would get dislocated and never seems to recover :(
Great looking..a few too many bass but depends on what size you want them to reach. Or maybe you will go up in size to the 2,000 gallons they need for a school of them..
Those Cichla can get double that size. So too the Arowana. Right now,that tank looks ok in size and may be he just set it up as there isn't a speck of algae...but its tight.
If those were Oscars- it would be near maxxed out. Those Cichla will double in size and so will the Arowana. People who love huge fish should love huge tanks to keep them in. btw- That tanks pristince look means it was probably just recently set up. Not a speck of algae.
