I think it's silly my kids sometimes like to watch RU-vid videos of people opening toys, but here I am doing the same thing 😂 watching you "open" your azure. Thanks for sharing!
It always warms my heart with how patient you are with the children and make everything a learning opportunity. Baby Hannah is growing like a weed, so precious!
Your tremendous knowledge about what items make what, how to preserve them, how to cook with them, and on , and on. It just amazes me. Also I deeply would like to thank you for sharing with us your well behaved children. Watching them as they grow and learn so many different skills that they will take with them as wholesome adults. What a true blessing.
Just wanted to share with you that I took the pantry challenge this year. I normally do very little grocery shopping because I have a very large garden. However, as I’ve watched and listened to you, I realized how silly I have been about using up my food stores. I honestly take such pleasure in looking at my food storage room….all my home canned and dried items just make me feel happy (if that makes sense) and so I now realize how stingy I’ve been in “using them up.” Also, I am frankly sometimes just lazy about going to the freezer and finding things to use. Well, as it turns out, I challenged myself to do a real clean sweep of the freezer during the challenge. It was fun and satisfying to see progress! Then, my husband and I found out we needed foundation work done INSIDE our basement. That’s where my freezer is…so…I got my freezer completely cleaned out. Everything was either eaten or I made jams, syrups, or juice’s with it. It was emptied in plenty of time for the move out of the basement for the jackhammering to begin! Yay! Thank you so much for all you teach this 73 year old homemaker! We all benefit from you greatly!
I love this extra video of yours :) you are an inspiration to me, may the Lord Jesus bless you and your family abundantly! Love, a mama of 2 under 4, In a difficult season with my husband looking for a job in his degree field, him believing we can't handle more kids unless we can afford to hire a nanny to help etc (even though he's a STRONG serious Christian!) it's an interesting season for me but I'm thankful to see how you do things and the systems you've put in place to succeed! God bless you
@@cindyloguirato8435 thank you, I pray the same thing for you! 💕 We are trusting in the Lord 💕 He is the way, the truth and the life! We seek a city to COME. 💕
For your large dish soap. If you have a kitchen sink soap dispenser you can add an extension tube kit to it and feed it directly into the jug placed under your sink. Works great
I made a canner load of your refried beans recipe after you posted that video a while back, and just opened and ate the first jar the other day. It was absolutely delicious, and will be a staple from now on. Thanks for the idea!
Just an FYI I use bay leaves instead of the freezer and have never had any bugs in my dry goods. Learned that years and year ago and now keep them on my pantry shelves to prevent them from getting in to anything there.
I can't tell you what a wonderful and welcome surprise an extra video was this week! I broke my foot last week chasing 4 roosters with a broom. I'm off my feet right now and taking the opportunity to go back through your video's and make notes, and note recipes I want to try. Since we're on Guam we aren't exactly near a Azure Standard drop location but I noted some items like the molasses and Cacao powder and a couple other items. I went through your amazon store link and then ordered them to Guam! I get so many subscribe and save items the postal lady makes me drive back to the loading dock. I even get 25 pound bags of flour. I'm interested to try the wheat berries since most flour comes here on a ship and can take 2-3 months from when it leaves the mainland. Which means the flour we've been eating probably has little to no nutritional value. So Thank you again! Also amazing stamina to get all that put away in one day!
They always say you should freeze dry items to make sure no bugs are in it…..I’ve been putting my items on the enclosed front porch while the nights are freezing….what do you do to those large bags to keep from anything developing.?
@@carriem7832 Coq A Vin will be on the menu as soon as I am better. I live on Guam and the wild roosters and hens live in our Mango trees. There's around 50 right now I need to get that back down to 10. So a few butchering days in my future. I have separate laying hens that we import from Hawaii.
Great video Jessica. I love your beautiful children. They are always eager to help which is a great testament to you and Adam. looking forward to the next video.
I love your azure hauls. I would also like to see your grocery hauls. I always learn and get new ideas from your channel. It’s one of my favorites. Your babies are so beautiful as are all of your children. I have 9 children myself. Only one left at home now. How time flies. Life truly is so short ❤️🙏
I am inspired by this amazing woman and her beautiful family! Being a single woman, I do a lot of meal prep or take one item and make several different meals. I really enjoy her preparation, purchases and homemade dishes. So many great, healthy ideas (which she makes look easy with a family of 10!!) But still tips I can utilize and enjoy learning about! ❤
I've been watching your videos for a couple weeks and you're having an effect on me. I'm a single mom, the breadwinner, and live with my adult sons, teen daughter, and tween granddaughter. I'm on leave from work for a month and so far I've organized my kitchen cupboards, cleaned the inside of my fridge, and have started cooking again. I'll never be at your level, however my kids are enjoying this newly relaxed mom who isn't stressed out about work.
it seems like the wheat berries are split similarly to how flour is split in the UK. we have 'strong bread flour' and then 'selfraising flour' (plain flour with added baking powder) and 'plain flour' (for pancakes etc). love your hauls, wish we had azure in the UK!
A beautiful family. I didn't see rain and were still having snow and rain in Oregon it's a great thing for a large amount of burnt forest it will help clear top soil so the forest can grow. I like sun and working out side but will get threw God's way of work.
Wow! Ty for the extra video. I wish you would do regular grocery hauls. We would love that as well. Love to you and your sweet family Jessica. Hannah is getting to big to fast. Her eyes are beautiful. Be blessed friend.
Jessica…what a productive morning! Lots of bulk supplies from Azure!! Loved your helpers…never too young to participate in the family tasks. Blessings, Susan
I just started trying Azure Standard. I literally started and stopped your video and added things I think I will use based on your recs. 😂 They should give you a bonus.
You are so blessed to be able to get fresh produce from Azure. I live in North East P.A. By the time the truck gets to us it has been over a week since it departed. Longer if the driver has problems. I have given up on perishable items because i always end up having to dispose of it. I couldn't even order fresh cabbage. I feel blessed for what i am able to get though.
If no one has mentioned it yet you don’t have to put a hole in your jar lids all you have to do is remove the ring and put the larger white cap with the blue liner over the top of the lid and use the pump in the white cap there is a hole and it will actually pump the air out of the jar from underneath the lid and it will also form a suction seal with the lid so when you remove the white cap you can pick up your jar by just the lid and it will be sealed with suction and then you can add the ring to the outside if you like. No need to add any holes at all. Hope it helps! You will need a different white cap for wide mouth and regular mouth size jars. 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦
Thank you for all the info. I searched your playlists and q&a videos but couldn't find any beauty tips. You're a natural beauty! I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to know products you recommend or any other advice. However- I can think of 2 things already- your beautiful gracious spirit and a smile on your face. : )
Thanks for sharing Jessica!!!! I love azure standard, such a wonderful company!!!! I wished I had that option when my four girls were at home. Love the array of stuff you got!!!! Gods blessings 🙏
I stopped watching another homesteader because she hid her baby after birth and wore him like an accessory. Really upset me. 3 Rivers is a breath of fresh air!
Me too (uk) but I have found some of the larger quantities of spices/dried food can be bought via Amazon, 1kg onion powder, tomato powder, 5kg pink salt, 5litres of vinegar, apple cider vinegar, 5litres lemon juice & 5kg popcorn. I also found large tins (like you see in American supermarkets, I think called number 10’s, on Amazon. I wish we had an azure here too, bulk flour from Macro (Booker) but 5kg of sugar from Sainsbury’s is only around £3.50, which is cheaper than macro. If you have any other bulk supply ideas, I’d love to know. I tried restaurant supplies, but no luck.
Jovial makes a cassava pasta (spaghetti, orzo, penne, fusilli) they are grain free and AIP approved, so I would be GAPS approved too. It’s just cassava and water. Azure carries it, it’s on my next order. 😊
I'm finishing my Azure order so your video was perfect timing. I appreciated your information on the spices. I've not ordered too many spices from Azure. Your videos are always helpful and inspiring. I didn't follow the pantry challenge strickly, but I did and am using lots of little bits and pieces of food and non food items. Blessings to you
I think that a lot of us had a large order in March. I know that I also had one. To my surprise I actually ran out of sugar during the challenge, and I buy 100# when I fill up my bucket, so I didn’t count on running out of that. It has been a year, since I bought it last, and I use a lot to make wine, so I am okay with it. We are a 100% gluten free family with 2 of us also being dairy free. We do mostly paleo since I can’t handle any grains or legumes. I do make grains like rice sometimes for the family, but we don’t eat a lot of grains. I really love their dish soap too. It’s really great, they have some really nice fragrance free products. I got pectin too, for the same reason. I didn’t know that pectin could expire. Thanks for letting us know. I usually buy molasses in larger amounts. It’s great for increasing the brix in plants, which will prevent insects from eating them. I usually give my vegetables it, mixed with water, when they come close to harvest. I buy the powdered salt too, it’s a really nice deal. We buy a lot of their sweet potatoes, those are really nice too.
I ordered a rechargeable canning jar vacuum. I have been waiting for Food Saver to replenish the accessory hose I needed. Since I couldn't find a hand vacuum I had my daughter order the rechargeable one. I have a lot of beans in half gallon canning jars to vacuum seal. Trying to make more space. My house is small, so I save space by going vertical when I can. Thank you for the extra video. Have an awesome day.
I bought the giant dish soap and I went with lemon scent. It's a very light scent and I really enjoy it. I've been using it as my main cleaning solution. My goal is to simplify my cleaning clutter.
So funny you got the Souper cubes! A friend was doing a bulk order with friends and I decided to get the whole kit because I thought of how often you freeze things in portions like that! We also were trying to get the milk cubes for our babies but they didn't meet the minimum for those. :)
Growing up we always had green pea soup after having ham. My grandmother always said you had to add a ham bone to have great green pea soup. One time she caught me making the soup with a beef bone. She almost disowned me. It has been 20 or so years since this happened and the family still remembers the dressing down I received over a bone choice. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing! I was glad to hear you were just putting the wheat berries in the freezer for a time. After I freeze mine they just go into a pail as I have no barrels at the moment - I don't vacuum seal or anything. When I thought about it and what I would do, it dawned on me that the grains are stored in a grain bin at the farmers field before they are bagged and sent out. And being a grain, as long as they are kept dry that is the main thing - they will store a long time. With that thought and the fact that I am not a fan of mylar, storage in pails and glass jars (overflow) was the perfect scenario for me. Just a perspective for you to ponder to possibly save yourself a bunch of work. Good video - I thought that was a good price...It would cost me much more than that.
Thank you ! 😊 I really enjoyed the extra video and I always see something new from Azure that I hadn’t seen or hadn’t tried and it’s good to get your opinion of it and it gives me confidence to buy it. Thank you and have a blessed week!
I just picked up my March Azure order yesterday. This makes me think a quarterly schedule sounds great! It is hard going every month! Not saying it will be easy to have massive quarterly hauls either but sure will spare me going so often.
@@rossicastellanos1333 you can have Azure delivered to your home but to save on shipping costs, look for a drop point near you. Most of those deliveries are monthly but you don't have to order every time.
Nice haul, who made that table,? It held up several hundred pounds of stuff .. I was waiting for it to collapse.. that's a good sturdy table.. awesome video as always
Yay! Someone besides me uses pump 'n seal. I've used it for many years, particularly for the wide mouth gallon jars, since there aren't many other sealing options other than oxygen absorbers.
y Buying bulk does seem like much but so worth it , i have lids to go over different size jars, and then use a brake bleeder - works awesome... Rain Country channel got me on that after the 3rd electric sealer kicked the bucket... those don't last very long at all- and I'd rather the glass jars than sealing plastic bags... you have wonderful little helpers : )
Hey Jessica, its very importend that you have many food in this difficult time ,you doing all the best ,we think about you many time stay safe greetings for the Children many gr from the Nederlands.
What a pleasant. surprise to have a video from you today! I love your grocery hauls and have learned so much great information from you. Thank you so much!
Whenever my Mom would make split pea soup she always put macaroni noodles, potatoes and some carrots in it to bulk it up….I love my soup thicken…it makes a hearty meal. I bought pork loin from Walmart for $2.49 lb….I browned in in my instant pot then slow cooked for two hrs and then pressure cooked it for 30 min to make it very tender…. If you ever buy a instant pot get. 12 qrt like I have…two chickens fit in it, or ten pounds of hamburger…..I use my 8 qrt everyday….hard boiled eggs are perfect and fast. I like those 2 cup silicone molds since there’s just two of us I always cook for many and then need to can or freeze leftovers. Have you ever made beeswax covers for your bowls….was it too time consuming?
I am not sure if you dislike the soap container because it's hard to pour or not being able to repurpose the container. But I believe you can thoroughly wash it out and store water in it.
