The detail is incredible, and I can't imagine the thousands of hours of work it took to create all this! Kudos to the videographer, who showed us the entire layout continuously. Videos of most other layouts show bits and pieces without ever letting us appreciate the entirety.

My dad did model railroad about 20 yrs ago, ever since this has intrigued me. This layout is by far the most detail oriented layout Ive ever seen. Absolutely astonishing.

I can only say, "Congratulations, Mr. Walton!" This was absolutely stunning.

I was impressed with how natural and organic all the scenery is. The weathering of the buildings was great. It wasn't mentioned, but I noticed the enormous amount of effort made on natural ground vegetation: tall dead fescue, weed clumps, ivy, etc. A wonderful addition to the realism of the layout.

I've watched hundreds of these types of videos, and while I'm no expert, this is in my top 2. There is not a mistake to be found; everything flows together; the detailing and enjoyment in viewing is spectacular. Neither under-done nor over-done!! 10 out of 10!!! Thank you!!

Wow! Just super layout. It incorporates so much detail. So many layouts, mine included, seem too sterile. Pete manages to include the small details; the collections of the everyday stuff that we tend to overlook.

Wow! I love this. This is just soo good!. Such good attention to detail, especially the weathering at this scale. I am really impressed.

I grew up as a kid in the 60's and this is very representative of that time period. I have a blake angus T bone in the fridge and to top this off I'll be cooking that here in about an hour. Sitting here in Ohio staying out of the covid world.

An Incredibly detailed layout. Superb workmanship and wonderful weathering on the buildings. Really like the ground textures too and the detail on the road surfaces.

I used to live near a gas works in my hometown. Pete Walton said the gas tanks remind him of growing up and he can still smell the smell from the gas works., I know just what he means, it's a smell once smelt, never forgotten.

Museum piece. Absolutely amazing. Love all the scenery and city scapes. Brilliant!!!

Rode the Zephyr in 1964 at 13 years old for my Golden Birthday. Aurora, I l to Denver Co. Spent a month with my Uncle there. Great time riding the vista dome cruiser !

This is the most impressive layout I have seen. Makes my N scale look like grade school level. It looks great on video I can only imagine how mind blowing it must be to walk into that room. Love how so many parts represent his family. I hope that house stays in his family for many generations. I do love the Piano Bar sign. I am a huge pin up fan. Anything from the 40's.

This layout belongs in Smithsonian someday. It's authenticity is beyond "modeling" Being set in his basement is ideal but the world needs to see it every day and I hope the Institute makes him an "offer" he can't refuse.

I love the attention to scale and detail....just wonderful!

The best part of this layout isn't the trains. Or the size... Or even the general scenery. The best part is how carefully he's integrate the names of people he cares about into it. No name is out of place and to the casual visitor would go unnoticed unless pointed out. But the layout is littered with them, you can barely look in a direction without passing one. It's very touching and very nicely executed.

Beautiful depiction of a "Snapshot" of time in America, long-forgotten & past. When America had an industrial base, we made most things we consumed. I think this certainly was the Golden Age of America economically speaking.

Lou, now THIS is a true REALISTIC model railroad layout and it cannot be compared to that layout of John Muccianti you did where I left my comment that I know people are going to take as an ugly comment but I assure you it was not. I was simply being honest there just as I am here on Pete's layout which is a true REAL looking model railroad. You can't even put that other layout in the same class because there's no comparison my friend. This layout is simply amazing and one of the most realistic layouts I've ever seen and then you look at John Muccianti's toy train set-up and the difference is like day & night. When I think a true, real looking, modeled to prototype cities & railroads layouts, this is what I expect to see and if you're (anyone) talking about a toy train looking layout like one would expect to see under a Christmas tree or a Christmas village, that's where John Muccianti's layout fits in. As I said, there's no comparison and John's layout can't even begin to compare to the class & reality of this layout of Pete's, sorry my friend. This is one impressive layout hands down!

This is an awesome acheivement. I am amazed just how well Pete has managed to settle the buildings and structures into the ground. They are part of the world, not stuck on top of it. The passage of the steam loco and train over the metal bridge over the water is the best I have ever seen. Pete Walton - you are an incredible modeller. Well shot Lou!

I love Howe he has the trains running at proper scale speed. Most layouts run their trains way too fast for their scale. Thanks for letting us see such a beautiful layout. Was that steam train the BigBoy?

What a fascinating experience. I could spend days looking and exploring at this wonderful setup, and imagine all sort of things going on at a period of a time gone by. It's a peek at the past in nostalgic and whimsical way. It really is a look at how things used to be but are now mostly forever gone. There's so much detail that was put into creating this historical masterpiece.

What amazing attention to detail. I remember my father had a small HO layout of a freight yard which he never had the opportunity to expand upon. It was sold to a collector because when my parents retired there was no room in their new house for the railroad.

Probably one of the best model railroads I've ever seen, Pete's attention to detail is phenomenal, I love model trains, and layouts, I one hope to have a model railroad of my own, hopefully it will be just as nice as his. I remember another video you made explaining that Pete was selling his house and was including his layout in the sale, hope who ever bought the house kept the layout, because it's a work of art. This is better than Museum quality. I am going to watch it again to take in all the detail. Even reality does not have the concentration of variety in topography that your little creation has in such a tiny world. Thanks for sharing your 13 year creative masterpiece. I hope it lasts for a 100 years. There is probably no way to move it, so your legacy might be destined to be a museum at least until holographic movies are perfected.
