Any tank you see in the german inventory that has the designation "(r)" is a russian design. If it had an "(e)", that would denote captured british equipment, "(i)" for italian etc.....Germany applied those designations to all sorts of equipment, from tanks to infantry weapons. And give that recon dude at 15:16 an iron cross 1st class 👌

Thank you for zooming in so much, this game looks so good. I wish someone would make like an epic cinematic out if a match. Honestly sometimes this game is like watching a movie.

Pak 43s seem to be the only thing that can bother IS2s from the front at long range, APCR seems to just do crits

I like watching 4v4s. It feels like an accurate depiction of the Eastern front. And by accurate I mean the Germans going "oh fuck fuck fuck fuck" 24/7.

Brave little Pz III L. This is like 50+20 mm vs 122 mm armor, and 50 mm KwK 39 (~ 100 mm penetration, with APCR, at close range only) vs 122 mm D-25T (125 mm at 2 km and 200 mm at close range). No pressure! Too bad SD2 does not show the penetration range. That "150 mm" is very misleading for a 50 mm KwK 39

Nice! More than 25 min of trying to kill the IS-2 and it just refuse to die. It took bombers to kill that beast. Panthers were just poking it. Keep up the video!

There wasn't any tank battle in the Pacific war... so it won't be interesting at all... and remember Steel Division games are about armored divisions...End of story.

Those IS-2's are basically walls that absorb frontal shots. The way to deal with them is to create a crossfire scenario, where their side armor can fall to support tanks. Also, they're less accurate over longer ranges, so if you can't flank your best bet is to whittle them down slowly from as far away as possible. But that'll take ages and you'd better watch out for break out manoeuvres. This I just learned from someone else's videos, which I only started watching today because Steam promoted the game.... so you might know a lot better than me XD

I would say its worth it for the base game but the DLC's add too much just cosmetics. Maybe wait for sales?

I think a Panther gun fires AP at about 950 m/s, so that would be a little bit under Mach 3. APCR is shot at about 1100 m/s, so about Mach 3.5

It took me a while to figure out that those were American made equipment used by the soviets and not an American faction (Haven't played SD2 yet, so I don't know if the western factions can be used). I figured it out when I saw the ZSU M-15s. While they are American M-15s, only the soviets use the ZSU designation for AA. Pretty interesting that the soviets would use so much M4's when they have the T-34.

Throughout the war Russian factories couldn’t keep up with the pace of building t34s they used allied tanks up until the end of the war when Truman cut all ties with Russia and stopped giving them equipment when the Cold War started 🤷‍♂️

king tigers would have helped you with those is2 an is 2 pretty much cant be killed by any german tank from the front at 2km except for the king tiger and if the is2 pens the king tiger 1 time the king tiger is dead but the tiger has to pen 2 times to kill it

@@SaucyNetworkEntertainment You don't know how tank combat works in SD2 is what it is. You don't have the penetration to defeat its armour at max range. Your pen % is zero and you keep shooting. You needed to get closer to him, either by using cover, or by stunning and charging, or by smoking and charging. Or get side shots. You don't understand the mechanics and you keep not checking your pen %.

@@sarinonline9127 i understand the mechanics very well. I kept firing at it to keep it stunned and as you could see from the video, I did occasionally move in to get closer but they had more tanks waiting in the back.

SaucyNetwork In theory, given the statistics, both the rounds of the is-2 and the Panther G have 70mm more penetration than armor when facing off against each other. So in theory it should be even at all ranges. However I personally made the experience of the panthers frequently losing at long ranges so there definitely is something off. And on a sidenote they did buff the cannon of the IS-2 beyond its actual capabilities which is quite annoying.

A couple of questions: Can the game be paused to issue orders or is it a constant frantic click-fest? How are there PzIIIL in the German Orbat when judging from the Russian vehicles this battle must have taken place in late 44 or 45? When selecting your force is it actually era oriented or can you select vehicles that were obsolete in the historic timeline?

The Panzer 3 was used all throughout the war due to high production numbers. Just because it's '44 doesn't mean that every tank is a panther and tiger I

@@Blankzzz1000 The basic PzIII chassis was used throughout the war yes, but by late 44 the only one in front line service as a gun tank was the short barrelled 75mm gun armed M version and these were all attached to heavy tank battalions as support vehicles. Some 50mm armed L's were used in anti partisan units but the majority had either been either destroyed or returned to germany for re-working into either the Stug III series or the M. In late 44 all Panzer divs had a Bn of Pz IV's and a Bn of Pz V's on their establshment. Heavier vehicles such as PzVI's and PzVII's were limited to specialised heavy Bns and were often independent of the local commanders authority. So I agree, not all tanks were Panthers and Tigers in 44 but having said that NONE of them were PzIIIL's, not issued to front line Panzer troops anyway.

There's probably only one thing I don't like about this game. That is the 'pinned down' thing. It looks ridiculous when a group of panzer 3 with 50mm gun can pinned down an is2.

Minor victory.. ? Gaining 500 yards for spending all that material is something the Germans could no longer afford to call a victory in 1944. Then you manage to hold the ground against a Russian mass attack and the game engine decides its a total defeat..
