Possibly the longest game I've played so far in Steel Division 2. It was absolutely brutal with massive losses on both sides over the space of an hour. Gives you a real feeling of Bagration.

Vulcan, you missed a great opportunity to title the video "Brüder gegen Brüder". Especially with T-34s and Tigers fighting on both sides. Additionally, wonder if it would be fun to add a passive for the NKVD that prevents falling back of any nearby infantry units.

russian tigers shooting german T-34's.. this starts to sound weird. on a side note. Smoke cover at 10:35. Poor Jägers being shot at from all sides could have pushed the forest and maybe saved you from deciding to suicide your T-34s EDIT: when you are talking about all the wrecks and levelled town. I can't help but think how much like hell the eastern front must have been.

You should be able to kill that tiger with an Me410. Though I suppose you didn't take one phase A? My version of this division is oriented quite air heavy and early game heavy. Given air superiority you can mop up so many tanks with the Me410 in phase A, using the recon Me410 to spot for you.

I see this video is old. But has there done any changes to the pen of the PTRD?` it had max pen at 40mm at 100meter range. and that was with tungsten. 35mm without. And the tigers had about 80mm to the side and rear armor. I dont see the logic in this game that those anti tank rifles could do much dmg to Tigers.

Can someone explain to me what happened in the latter half of the game? It doesn't make sense economically; the Axis side had much fewer points available but absolutely crushed the Soviet Union in the end!

Maybe the soviets overextended and got most of their forces killed while trying to defend the mid/right. By the end there you can see that only the guy on the left had tanks left and the middle road was riddled with T-34/85 carcasses. This is probably not the reason they lost, but is definelty a factor.

Now I see how Eugen solves balance. Who cares for asymetrical balancing, lets just give everybody the same shit. Sorry, captured vehicles... Whats the point in flavor at this point

Only certain divisions have captured units. In 4v4 it is more apparent but in 1v1 and 2v2 the flavour is definitely there.

@@VulcanHDGaming Dont know, I see no point in it. Why should USSR use mass troop deployments, when they can deploy a Tiger? Why should Germans operate decent tanks supported by infantry, when they can run T34 hordes. Literally no point in playing different nations since if we take Wargame/Division examples, people really dislike Micro/Macro so it ll be 3v3-4v4 80% of the time for random groups. Splitting the attention to micro more than 1 lane is apparently really difficult and hurts (10v10 tactical anybody?)

Visual models of tanks need some work. They lack some details, they are too boxy without any gear on them.

With 100s of units on the map I think it's more a limitation of the engine. Got to keep the poly count down.

oh my. great game, but... from my experience, almost every random player in multiplayer mode would have smashed you with artillery and rockets. Katushas were made for stoping large infantry and tank pushes. Try playing outside your group of friends. plus, not trying to insult anyone, but "valiant defence" using 10 tigers? really? Defence becomes "valiant" when odds are against you. Not when you use untouchable tanks in perfct position. In evry other aspect - great commentary, always waiting for your videos especially in colaboration with SausyNetwork. Keep it coming!
