A gaggle of C-17's is very impressive. Reminds me of 1965 with a gaggle of C-130's going to Santa Domingo. Nice to know that you have Air Supremacy, you hope. As I remember a privately owned P-51 flew circles around the C-130 formation. Glad he was a friendly.

Wow!!! Would love to see the mission brief on the departure and join-up elements of the mission!!! It also gives you a modest glimpse of what the massive formations over Europe looked like during WWII. Imagine hundreds of these??!! Question: During the departure phase, do the stagger the rotation point of each aircraft so as to avoid wake turbulence?
