Lariat noseband mule tape halter can be a fun alternative to the regular mule tape halter. There are many different styles to try but this style is one of the simpler styles that still allows you to have a detachable lead rope.

If you do choose to burn your ends but you don’t have pliers, you can use a spoon to apply pressure to the melted spots to smooth them over. (Just make sure you won’t need to use the spoon for eating after.)
