Nice, got the last episode in before the DLC. Cant wait to watch Baz go through the DLC in another 2 years!

Morgott is the 'veiled monarch' who ruled Leyndell during the Shattering after Godwyn's death-all without revealing himself to be an Omen (there's a cut quest that would reveal how disgusted the subjects of Leyndell would be to learn that their king was an Omen). When he wants to get shit done personally, however (such as spawnkilling Tarnished looking to steal an easy Great Rune off of Godrick) he projects himself and takes on a different identity as Margit, 'the Fell Omen'. (As a side note, the 'hands of the Fell Omen' are the Night's Cavalry, hence why he says 'cower in fear of the night' after his defeat.)

Can we talk ab the astonishing editing where he kills one of the skeletons and links the death animation perfectly with another skeleton kill post cut... itches my monkey brain.

Well until the DLC when they must rise from their graves again and continue the cycle, as life is nothing more than a Larken Ring of fate endlessly turning...

2:29:25 Ok this is going to sound really nerdy, but I’m not too sure if the Rebis of Radagon/Marika is supposed to be interpreted as “Trans imagery” in the first place. - Within the lore of the game, the idea is heavily supported that Marika and Radagon were two separate people forced together by the will of the Elden Beast, an emissary of the One Great; the capital G “God” of the Elden Ring universe. - The one concept that must be understood is that the Elden Beast desires nothing but order. Any form of order, as can be seen with the age prior to our play-through of the Ancient Dragons with Placidussax as Elden Lord. - The reason why Radagon left Raya Lucaria after marrying Rennala is because he was simply willed to. Turtle Pope even ponders “how could a lowly champion become Elden Lord?” - Radagon is a foil to Marika. He is a devotee of order and strict in keeping his title. He is the main antagonist of the game as his Great Rune, the cross hatched lines, are the thorns that block your access to the Erdtree. Morgott and Gideon are fooled by Radagon’s influence. Morgott thinks his denial to Lordship is Marika’s doing. Gideon believes the “tarnished must suffer for eternity”, despite all things Melina has quoted of Marika throughout the game going against this ideology. The Shattering War that sets the stage for the world we explore is a byproduct of Radagon’s influence. - Marika has been alive for thousands of years at this point. After the slaying of her son Godwyn, she knew the current order between her and Radagon had to be upended. At this point in the story the consciousness of Radagon and Marika had been combined already, as the main reason why Miquella and Melania are inflicted by different ailments is because of the odd means they were produced…by a Rebis. Melina even quotes Marika calling Radagon a “Dog of the Golden Order”. Clearly, these are two very different people vying for power and control of deeply flawed order. - And thus Marika shattered the Elden Ring while Radagon tried to repair it. The tarnished, Melina, and Maliketh are set in place as being contingencies in Marika’s plan to fix the Lands Between. We kill Radagon in his boss fight. The Elden Beast literally wields Radagon’s body as a weapon as the Sacred Relic Sword (the hilt is the chest and his arms, the handle his legs, and the coiled blade sprouts from his head). Our character becomes the new Elden Lord with Marika as our spouse and a new order is made in our wake.

It's sad that long form videos like Larken Ring get less views in comparison to others because these are so well edited. I'll be psyched to watch the DLC video when it comes out though!

Great series and great game! I gotta say that I am glad that Jacob and Lark absorbed as much information as they did throughout the playthrough and cared about it too, it seemed like they remembered everyone's names and purposes well. I was worried some of the big reveals wouldn't hit them as hard as intended but I was pleasantly surprised!
