My man forgetting people like to get into or invested in a game istg lol I think to play someone's first Dark Souls title as "Throw infinite spawning self at wall without fear" is the hindsight 20/20 move. When the game came out trying to play careful was the thing with my friends. Plus if you get the chest and look at the stairwell the barrel is pretty obvious.
