The concept of "trickle down" is more like "trickle up" ... when the hardworking people pay less in taxes, their increased income is spent in a matter that increase public consumption of goods and services thus "trickling up" economic growth.

I consider a paycheck and dividend checks to be exactly trickle down. If a company profits, that first number sounds so much bigger than after the same amount is distributed to 10,000 employees or 100,000 stock holders. And if the company holds its profits, the capital frees credit, replaces equipment, builds production centers, all paychecks to employees in other companies.
