If you don’t know she is part African American, there’s no way you would think she’s part African American. Valerie Jarrett looks like a white lady perhaps with some Latin roots, like I would’ve guessed she was half-white and half-Colombian. Nothing about Valerie Jarrett’s facial features or hair says African American. And Roseanne should not have been “cancelled” for that tweet. Whatever happened to free speech and the right for comedians to make jokes, yes, even ones that cross the line. It’s a huge double standard. Because Roseanne is a conservative, she gets “cancelled” from Hollywood and basically her career is over when the show is Roseanne’s show based on her life experiences, yet the show will continue to air without Roseanne. Yet, Keith Olberman calls Trump a Nazi multiple times in his tweet, and because he’s a liberal, he doesn’t get “cancelled”. Olberman is still allowed to keep HIS job. This is not what this country is supposed to represent. Sure, Roseanne’s tweet was offensive, but she’s a comedian who, like all comedian’s push the envelope and see how far they can go to get a laugh out of people or to get a rise out of people. If Roseanne’s tweet was without a doubt not aiming for humor but instead was aiming to spread hatred (i.e., if Roseanne called Valerie Jarrett the “N” word), then yes you fire her from her show because that is obviously hate speech. But Roseanne didn’t know Valerie was part African-American when she said “Planet of the Apes”. Roseanne said she thought Valerie was either white or Jewish, or Muslim or something, but not African American. Roseanne’s tweet was inappropriate and over the top, but it wasn’t intended to be racist against Black people. Roseanne is not racist against Black people. She’s great friends with Wanda Sykes who Roseanne asked to be a writer on the reboot of her show. To ruin people’s lives like that over an inadvertently inappropriate tweet is not the kind of country any American should want to live in.
Hello first off although l don,t agree with everything Mr Elder says l,m generally a fan of his.l thought the movie was long yes but wasn,t bad and wasn,t worth all the praise it got.After reading your public comments i,m baffled to see that most people missed the point of this movie. Having a black superhero should be a positive for minorities.Sending a message that black society can work together with each other and the rest of society to solve problems and threats. That should be a positive reflection of blackculture and thought about by everyone blacks , whites, whomever.Need more movies like this where everyone besides the badguys get along.Tired of sjw,s and all these movements creating conflict , always saying they are the victoms. Maybe look in the mirror and clean up your own house before bitching at everyone about your situation.Easy to criticize, really tough to make things better. I think that my son and I are in line with you on this movie... We always go to the theater for the release, then we wait for the DVD so we can enjoy it as often as we like. That being said, we have logged a lot repeat hours on most of the Marvel Movies, except this one, I think maybe 2 re-watches, and it's in the timeline book. So, yeah, not really sure what went askew with this one, have to go check it out again, maybe my sleeping pill. Yep, I remember the cartoon and the comics (.25cents man), I even had the play set with him and the condor, was it a condor?...lol Keep poking them in the nose, they (we) all need it sometimes. Oh, and that guy was spot on, Dare Devil is such a great character...only to be torched in this movie... I was so pissed!

we're not allowed to promote children being raised by a mother and father anymore. if we point out that this is the ideal situation and without it nothing but problems occur, it directly contradicts the single mother culture and the LGBT culture, both of whom are unable or unwilling to live this way. saying that having a mom and dad is the best, automatically implies that having just a mom or two moms/two dads is deficient. and SJW's will never allow this reality to be promoted. political correctness will be the death of us all.

Besides, consider that all Southerners who fought for the Confederacy (a huge number of White adult males) were stripped of voting rights.
