Im on my way to finding god after being an athiest for most of my 23 years on this earth and it feels better.

I'm posting this comment so that every time someone likes it ill come back and listen to this masterpiece.

After 24 years of drinking, drugs, and partying. At the age of 40. I found God on an interstate to Lexington KY. My wife fought leukemia at UK hospital for the most of 2919-2021. The lord called her home but we both found God first. I'll see her in heaven. This song has gave me a lot of peace.

I struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for most of my twenties. I found God a few years ago while I was kayaking on the Chassahowitzka River. It was a gorgeous day in February (the best time of year in Florida). There wasn't a soul around me. Just the calm river, the breeze blowing the trees and the grassy marshlands, and the songs of bird. I felt overcome with both joy and serenity, and I have been sober ever since. I'm 33 now, and I have a beautiful family of my own. Praise God!

I buried both of my adult children who died 2 years and 2day apart. I walked through the wilderness for 17 years and Prayed without ceasing . God has pulled me through . I will have a reunion with them one day .

First time ive ever came across this song . I laid my wife rest today just a few hours ago . we have 3 beautiful young children 4-2 and 11. Never even heard of Larry fleet but for some reason this song showed up in my feed. Before even thinking about a bar stool this song helped me find god . so tommorow the kids and will go fishing . everything happens for a reason and there was a reason this video came to today. And I thank god for that.

I'm an addict and have been since I was 18. That was 2007. In my active addiction, I was completely out of control. I was selfish, dishonest, lustful, lazy, prideful, the list goes on. Three years ago my son was taken from me. Then my partner of ten years died six months later. My whole life I've been nothing but sinful. I tried to lie to myself and told myself I was a victim of circumstances. I always believed that I was not worth saving. Last week, I cried out to God, my higher power, to save me. I thought about all the dirty, rotten things that I have done, all the sins in which I was ashamed. The pain was almost too much to bear. I then accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, and I believed in him, with my heart. Five days ago, after hitting almost a year sober, I was stressed beyond belief. I may have stopped doing drugs, but I still smoke cigarettes. I've been smoking for almost 15 years. I started to smoke, and then, from somewhere, I heard a voice that said "You don't need it anymore.....you are FREE" I was terrified. I didn't know what was happening. I heard that voice and threw the smoke on the ground. I kept hearing this voice, talking directly to me, and then I realized that GOD has heard my prayer, and so did JESUS. My emotions were so high I could not stop crying. I HAD BEEN SAVED!!! It was then that I started to understand. I forgave myself, and asked God to forgive me as well. I knew I had to love myself, and for the first time in my life, I did just that. I went home to meditate, and as I was laying down my spirit became aware of my Divine Creator, and the glory of ALL his creations. My spirit travelled across space, time and dimensions. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. All of a sudden, things were happening to me, and I was protected by the angels which surrounded me. I couldn't believe it. Why me? Why was I worthy of God's love and salvation? The next day, I started to receive messages from Him. Things that seemed random, but this was no longer a coincidence. THIS WAS DIVINE INTERVENTION. GOD SAVED ME BECAUSE I CALLED OUT TO HIM. BECAUSE HE LOVES EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT HAS EVER BEEN. HIS LOVE IS SO GREAT, AND WE NEED TO LOVE EACH OTHER. I had to love myself before I could love another human being. I felt so different, like it wasn't even happening, like a dream. I was so grateful, and after 33 years, I AM ALIVE. I AM NO LONGER JUST SURVIVING. I AM LIVING! LIVING IN MOMENT!! I started to follow where he took me. I realized that my purpose, and ALL of our purpose as the human race, is to LOVe one another, LOVE ourselves, and LOVE our Creator and His son, Christ. Our job in this life is to HELP one another, and to experience life the way He intended....Pure Bliss....Heaven on Earth. To feel it all. WE NEED TO STOP HATING EACH OTHER. WE NEED TO START LOVING. BECAUSE LOVE CONQUERS ALL.

Going to church Sunday for the first time in probably 16 years!

The night I thought my mom was gone. I was 19 and I prayed that God would bring her back to us. He did and I went upstairs to repent for my sins and do "the deal". All I felt was love rushing over and over again for 3 hours. I'm 46 and haven't been the same since. Jesus really did pay it all.

I found God this year in 2020. Best year of my life . Got a new car. Another baby girl and my first house. It's crazy that my best year is most of others worst. God I wish I could get you to sing the country gospel song I wrote years ago in one the darkest times of my life when I felt so alone. God showed me that night that I wasn't alone... That I never had been and never would be. That all I ever had to do was reach out to him, that he is always here for me!! Anyway, I've never had the means to record it myself. Now it would mean the world to me to be able to pass it along and someone share it with the world, because the love of God is not something to be kept, it's something to be shared.

Where I found God was in the rock bottom of my addiction to pills. 20 long miserable years trying to kill myself slowly. Finally God woke me up and said "I'm here"!! I grew up very religious and lost my relationship with God. After some hard years with depression and losing both grandparents during the pandemic I cant wait to get in a church and just pray.

Mr Fleet, what an excellent song! I'm an old guy from the south Carolina low country. I used to have a deer stand I called the " sanctuary stand" . The light coming through the trees when the sun was going down reminded me of light coming through a stained glass window. It's where my 10 yr old daughter and I were sitting when she got her first deer, (a young buck.) I hear your song and understand every word. Thank you!

I just heard this song on an ad on my playlist I got off my bike stopped so I could look it up. Cuz this song is true I go out to a park daily since I've lost my job to pray to God for something to come you don't need go to church specially during these times God is everywhere he speaks to me at that part louder I've ever heard him before in my life. my mom's a preacher I've been going to church my entire life but I never heard God as loud as I have at that Park. If you listen for the voice of God just be quiet to spiti where you are. I think that's what he's trying to say in this song doesn't matter where you are just sit quiet.

Good stuff, brother. I certainly wasnt looking for God when I took my last shot of dope, but Jesus met me right where I was. Now I often find Him on the river, in my deer stand and in the peace of a beautiful sunrise or sunset or when I look at my children. I am thankful for a God that loves me just like I am but didnt leave me like He found me.

I've never found god in church. It was talking to him like a friend next to me. Smiling and looking up and simply thanking him.

With all the craziness in this world, I think this song speaks to so many people about the simplicity and unbelievable joy it is to find God and his Son Jesus Christ. It’s what our souls truly long for. For me personally it also brings back cherished memories of the amazing childhood my parents gave to me and my sisters and it makes me so grateful.

I strayed from god, until he spoke to me not long ago on this same day that i post this comment. I renounced my faith in god and boy i tell you, its so pure and wholesome. If you were wondering, earth has no sorrow nor struggle that heaven cant heal. Talk with god and be true to him. He will love you, i know because i talked with him. Thank you for writing this song. Great song. I have found God most not in the church pew, but rather in the circumstances of the moment and how that faith makes an otherwise horrible moment bearable. About 12 years ago, my wife awoke to a flash of light outside our bedroom window. I went outside to investigate, and saw flames hitting the top of the porch. My wife had gotten our daughter up, and she headed out of the house immediately, as my wife and i tried to get some clothes and my phone. She and i were burnt going ou the door, 2nd and 3rd degree to our backs. We were transported to the hospital, and there we each sat on the edge of our respective beds and put our forheeads together.there was no panic in me, as i knew she and my daughter were alive, and no fear of the medical consequences, though witth that level of burns there is always a chance of death from infection. There was no worry about any of that, nor of anything material. There was just a peace, an unspoken knowledge that everything was going to be ok. Hard to describe to someone without faith.

This is as real and true as country music gets. Not talking about going to get drunk or to a beach, just being a hard working man that loves to hunt, fish, and most importantly, God. Through the good times and the bad, this song can help people remember that God will always be by their side taking care of them. Without God, the world would be even crazier than it already is. People like Larry Fleet can bring out God's love in music and inpact people. It can also help them recognize that God's love is like no other. The world wants people to be who they think they should be, but what matters the most is, what does God want you to be. I'm no preacher, far from it actually, but songs like this help me realize that beer, pills, and the world can't solve your problems. ONLY GOD CAN. One day when we face judgment, God will ask us why we think we should get into heaven. Most will say, well I went to church and did good deeds. Sorry if I hurt some of yall's feelings, but that doesn't cut it. Giving your trust in Jesus Christ and knowing what he went through to pay for OUR sins is the only way. God will know it too. He will also know if people are lying. Believing in Jesus and walking a life God says to in the bible is the only way to life forever in paradise. Not listening to what the preacher or priest says how to live, how the bible says to live. God didn't have those men to write the bible as a story book. It is a manual guide of how to live and walk with God through a world that will reject christianity. All ways remember: Love God, Love Others, and Serving the World the Gospel.

I wholeheartedly believe that when I moved from CA to middle TN 10 years ago is when my transition to faith began. Something about the beautiful, simple, southern life really helps you connect with our savior. Praise God🙏🏻
