Highlights of the three-time ABA All-Star and two-time NBA All-Star, Larry Kenon. Four quick buckets by Kenon to start the second half proved to be instrumental in this San Antonio victory. April 22, 1979, Eastern Conference Semifinals.
KENON WAS DA'SHIT!! I watched him as a kid with Dr.J on the Nets in the ABA, & sometimes couldn't tell them apart with the similar moves,Afros & dunks they had.. He was called Dr.K as a rookie, but requested he be called Mr.K,cause he said "THERE'S ONLY ONE DR.IN DA'HOUSE!!" His defense was"GARBAGE",but his game was ALL-DAT!! Then when he got traded to San Antonio,he got even better playing with GEORGE GERVIN.. Boy,was they a sight to see!! Love ya highlights Lamar.. They allow me to go back in time for a while..Thanks so much!!
I've been doing some searching into why his career suddenly died off after going to play for Chicago. Dramatic drop off and was out of the league at 30. Was it injury? Drugs. Can't find any info. Or was his defense so bad that they wouldn't play him? I mean...he was a 20+pt 10+ rebounder for awhile
Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen was the modern day of Julius Dr.J Erving and Larry Keon from back in the day's in the ABA professional basketball league when they play with the New York Nets
Larry Keenan definitely overrated, got schooled by Bobby Dandridge of the bullets virtually every time they played. definitely a notch below lot of the top small forwards of the day
He is being guarded by Bobby Jones and holding his own every players has one guy that gives them problems. Is David Robinson overrated because Hakeem used to eat his lunch ?
