On the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, Larry McNeeley, resident banjo player, plays Jerry Reed's signature instrumental tune "The Claw" while Jerry and Glen look on.
Pity they didn't have HD recording equipment back then. Jerry got a charge of Larry pinning down all the intricate fast stuff and stumbling when it came to the slow ending section. Just a great performance. Jerry always said he composed those complex fingerstyle tunes (none better than Reed) then gave them to Chet. Three weeks later he couldn't remember how to play them himself.
