This happened to me. Once I went on a trip to the caribbean, and as I lied on the beach looking at the blue skies my toughts were not calm nor happy, just "Still me, still the same planet." It sucked, so I got super drunk. Don't go swimming drunk btw.
@@BananaHoardXhappened to me too man/gal. was in a beautiful resort in mexico, second vacation ever in my life, my room's at the top floor and palm tree leaves rustle against the window paneling as the ocean breeze pours through the massive windows that lets the sunset oranges and pinks flood in like something from a movie. beautiful birds frolick on gusts of wind from the ocean and glide around alongside eachother to enjoy the breeze, with the smell of sea salt, sand and flowers in the air. but i'm still me, still troubled, still struggling with worsening mental illness, now i'm just on a pretty beach thinking about the same sad things. not everybody's music taste but i recommend 'panic attacks in paradise' by ashnikko because it quite literally describes that experience. you're in the most beautiful place you can imagine, and then the somber realization settles in, not even this can fix you. you're still just you in a different place. you could go anywhere and you'd still just be you.
@@ImmoralArk does the dumbass not notice the $300 part ? It was already about $60 for new games in the past. That was a couple months of saving my money. But having to save for another few years to buy an entire new console just to play pokemon ? It's insane. At least with the ds/3ds we could play the old Gameboy games too. Is that the same for switch ?
Yup. If you read the comment section of some isekai series you’ll see people talk about what they’ll do and how they’d take over that world immediately as if they forgot that the reason most MC’s became overpowered wasn’t because they were getting help from gods or other entities
@@markissacs7784 To bring this point home, SLime tensei for instance. The guy that got there was a succesful businessman busy dividing work to people as accurately as possible. In a world where people (or in this case monsters) are simpler minded, keeping them in certain fields especially when loyalty is as highly valued as in Slime tensei is just easy for a man like him. But a kid would be so lost, they'd have needed external protection!
Pokemon isekai sound like a bad idea. They can get god as a pokemon. The world of pokemon is doomed. EDIT:people shut the hell up i know about mystery dungeon and Legends Arceus you don't have to to tell me
@@sirbreadthe1 what the person up me says (Btw Arceus is not the real God Pokemon, as far as I know is just "a part" of the actual god (wich idk if it is a pokemon or not, Legends Arceus plot, but I could be wrong)
i was talking about a show and even if god isn't all powerful we have sand that can kill you if you step in it a dog that can cause volcano sentient lava a demon that will give you a coma a bird looking thing that can cause storms for 40 fucking days sentient lava that is almost as hot as the sun a whale that can flood the world the father of all earth pokemon(pokemon not from space) pokemons for other worlds(one of them can even eat a whole building in one gulp) a robot that had towed continents with ropes and to remind you that pokemon can one mega evolve and two can grow in to very big pokemon and lastly the sxy pokemon which i think everyone knows(the tall rabbit, water dog-cat thing and the pokemon that can make black hole) even if there was a game how will it even work the only thing i could be is a show which as i said would be horrifying. your just always one black hole away from mass extinction.
We do have time travel confirmed with the legends arceus confirmed. And not just because of the main character, there is another. I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to actually include isekai at this point. Heck, we already have isekai in a way with the ultra beasts. (Though that depends on the definition of "world" you are using.) Edit: I only just remembered, but there is also the distortion world from gen 4. I don't know if the japanese name also includes "sekai", but at the very least it includes this word in english and french (the two languages in which I have played pokemon)
Dude, an emotionally mature pokemon isekai series where a brutally honest depiction of a depressed man gets to go truck-kun style and hit the next generation with the painful reality that in the end unless you have done something to prepare for it, if isekai worked like it did where you are just you in another world, this would be the result. would be so worth the watch.
Make sure you get the right people isekai'd because if we have some other joe smoe as a similar personality to Kazuma, everyone got to hide their Gardevoir and Lopunny's. Same for Vaporieon but not for the reason you think (i.e. useless water type)
The actual people not the ones in anime who study flora and have read every book on construction and spent 24 hours a day everyday playing games The unprepared for isekai the average Joe
Same... I can really see him being an isekai victim and arecus just being like "Well Paldea needs more down to earth people... He's not gonna over do that. Right?" or the sort XD
@@Lumberjack_king “You mean it’s not because you can find Primape right outside the town your gym is located in?” “No. It’s that, too, but it’s mostly the taxes.”
@@tlst94 You know how the characters in Pokémon have SUPER wild personalities? Larry doesn't have any of that, he's literally just some guy. Because of this and Larry being the most relatable Pokémon character ever, the fandom can't get enough of him.
Larry is king, and the only trainer I ever lost two, in both playthoughs oddly enough (for the record I was under levelled both times the first was because I thought gyms levelled up with you, they do not and the second was due to me not remembering what level he was and just heading in)
Too bad he couldn’t have been isakai’d… the title of the Pokémon anime is wayyyyyyyy too short and doesn’t explain exactly what happened. 😢 “Pokémon: I was resurrected as a normal type gym leader into a world of elemental monsters”
I think Larry is supposed to represent the older generation who grew up playing Pokémon in the 90s and still enjoy the games today. Like myself. I got a full time job, I’ll take a break from my busy life every other night or so to play Pokémon with my kid, before putting the switch away, sighing and saying to myself “gotta work in the morning”
@@Cayman192I never thought about that ,I always thought of him as a gag character whose just as bland as the Pokemon he uses but whith added context it makes sense. Thankyou

Try otherworldly happiness or something i forgot the name. It's about a suicidal dude that got reincarnated while still being suicidal and still manage to defeat the evil heroes by writing and banishing them into their previous world... While still being suicidal

Realistic Isekai where you go to another world, got no money, no ID, have to steal or forage to survive, you may have magic - but no skill to use it, and probably won't understand the native language, nor the social/cultural norms that would get you killed.
Yea, the problem is that so many iseakai could be much better if they actually had a protagonist with character and not a blank canvas for self-insert power fantasy
Well, he is just too normal to be a local. Which makes him abnormal. Far more abnormal than his Pokémon. Really, Larry is maybe one of the better characters. As he isn't flamboyant. He isn't flashy. He is just a dude who works hard and somehow becomes a Gym Leader and a Member of the Elite Four. Even he can't explain it. He is just an office guy.
Protagonist: "Larry, we need to stop Team Magma from expanding the land!" Larry: "No. Halt" Protagonist: "But... if we don't stop them, won't the resulting loss of water shatter the ecosystem potentially cause thousands to die of thirst?" Larry: "...it's a canon event. Can't risk a potentially bad outcome." Protagonist: "Worse than literally not having water!?!?" Larry: *hisses*
Normal types were always my favorite, so I automatically get excited when we get a high ranking trainer (gym leader/elite four) that themes around the normal types.
I know we will never get that trope done without the human transforming into a pokemon in official media, so imma need someone to write a fic about that for yesterday at this point.
I mean, if you're talking about Pokémon fanfic with isekai, then you just have to look for it, you can find dozens of very good ones. To name a few: Borne of Caution, I will Touch the Skies, The Type Specialist, Hard Enough (a Brock self-insert, which, ironically enough, is basically what this short is about)
@@xXMaxterMineXx I mean, you may have a point, but the isekai'd character typically is the MC and it's a y/n story. So unless one of the ones you mentioned really is about one of the character we know being the one, it might not interest me. And I would except it to be very meta and for the character not to blend in and adapt to the pokemon world, but to openly use their knowledge to act for about everything.
@@xXMaxterMineXxI've read a fair bit of Borne of Caution (even though I hate the whole concept of fanfics) but it was surprisingly good. For a short run down (SLIGHT SPOILERS) Basically the guy's an animal handling expert that got freaking nuked then got isekai'd and develops PTSD. He picks up a vulpix (a psychic type) that reads into his memories and PTSD they try to work through it together. It's a really good wholesome story that focuses more on realism and mature themes rather than being self-insert fanservice like you might find elsewhere. Such an interesting premise and it was executed very well!
@@clemente3966I don't think it's exactly what you described but Borne of Caution is pretty damn close. He's a zoo-keeper that basically uses his knowledge of handling predatory animals like lions in order to raise pokemon. It's really damn good and focuses more on realism than isekai fantasy tropes.
A Pokéisekai would be an AMAZING story, especially with our boi as it's protagonist, he could narrate the story as well, for additional monotone delivery.
Ngl...I need this as a genuine fanfic. Someone needs to write this out and how Larry's Pokemon try and fail to help him out until someone else helps him actually improve and learn to enjoy what he now has.
I remember seeing a meme that said Larry from Pokémon and Larry from Ace Attorney had switched places because they fit each other's worlds in terms of design and personality. I feel like this would explain how it happened
I'd love to see a Pokémon movie where the champion of a region gets sent to the real world, where he finds out that everything's different and the Government tries to take his Pokémon to study them
It’s literally me. I file Pokemon taxes. Also reminds me of the premise of Kemono Michi. Pro wrestler gets summoned to a fantasy world, but he won’t fight the demons because he loves animals and wants to open a pet shop.
