you guys are funny. good channel boys. one thing as an old head i can explain...bird did that sh7t every night. not kidding. he would tell guys the plays...because he knew he would still score even if guys knew the play. other thing i think you dont understand....the guys in the league didnt view him as a white guy...they viewed Bird as the best player in the NBA.
I watch this and love it, but it is sad to me these men don't know the greats paying homage to Bird. One of the biggest names is Julius Erving aka Dr J. Another Sir Charles Barkley. It isnt punks talking about Bird, both are Hall of Famers and NBA Legends. Erving Majic Johnson, one of the best ever. Should watch the Dream Team video of 92. Rivals on the court and brothers in real life.
Larry legend won three consecutive League MVPs, with a lot of future hall of famers as his opponents. No player has been able to run the league for 3 years in a row,since. Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain are the only other great players to accomplish this feat. Great video!👊😁
1:30 I sure you did... But Larry did this *every game* and to the best players to ever lace then up and still delivered more or less every single time. He often did it continously, calling 10 plays in a row and scoring on every one. It wasa psychological terror to go up against as the more he shot the more nervous they got for the next one. Thats why you see all time greats like Dominique, Dr. J and Drexler having their ankles broken by a seemingly weak fake from Larry. He got then all so shaky, he had then all in-side-out
Oh yeah Bird got into fights. The video clip before Dr. J talks here is severely cut. Erving and Bird tangled before Bird fell. They'd been trading elbows all night. And they don't show what happens after Bird gets in J's face. They start having words, then they reach out and choke each other--there's a famous picture of it. Then Barkley and Malone run up, and depending on who you believe they were trying to pull Bird away or holding his arms so J could get in a few good punches. Then the benches clear, including the coaches--the Sixers coach ends up tearing the back of his suit coat open. Erving and Bird both got ejected and fined. I think you are thinking about the dream team, playing the college players and lost. Jordon was on the dream team. I couldn’t find anything on why the pros where playing Jordon and other college players. It could have been for Olympics at that time. Not sure.
Ha. Larry went after Bill Laimbeer and would have busted his face wide open. Laimbeer was a bully and a dirty player. Love always to Larry Legend, one of the greatest to ever play the game.
4:33 Thata Danny Ainge. A Hall of Famer and a guy who was all-american in three separate Sports when he got to the league. Football, Baseball ann Basketball. I think he is the only one ever. A true athlete genius, dont judge a book by its cover, he would fakking *embarres* you. And he was also a scrappy little fakker. I think he fought Kareem once... On purpose 🤣 Might have been someone else but it was soneone who had like a foot and a half height advantage over Danny but that did absolutely nothing to discourage him.
Yeah, Larry didn't "fall." Dr. J tripped him on purpose because J was 'trying' to keep his cool coz yup .. before this and their falling fight, Bird kept repeating the scores they both out up before all this happened. By the time they were both ejected for 'fighting' IF one could call it that Larry only kept repeating the numbers he scored and Dr. J scored. I say 'fight' coz once it started both Moses Malone and Barkley came to hold Larry while J began pounding him in the face and Larry couldn't fight back. Trust me when I say it was a bench clearing brawl by the end of it. I lost quite a bit of respect for Dr. J after this one.

Never beat Bird in a playoff game though. Poor Jordan won every individual award you could in 88 but still didn't make the playoffs. His time came in the nineties.
