I own these Larsen 9 speakers in maple veneer. I am retired and use them daily from morning to late evening like 50% home 2-channel theatre and 50% music. First of all, they are really unfussy to setup. Just put them close to the wall, not against the wall though. They are filling my 50m2 living room with a huge wall of sound having a broad sweet spot and there is no need for a subwoofer as these go really deep according to my own measurements. (these are full range speakers) Putting it shortly; Larsen 9 are designed to actually put you in the music venue instead of putting speakers in your room. I am a senior member regretting that I have spent a fortune on 4-5 times more expensive high-end speakers and all of them still needed some kind of listening room preparations etc. to avoid room reflections and nodes. This is actually my first speaker that need no additional listening room preparations and I am now able to connect with the music and enjoy my large music library better than ever before. Highly recommended
Larsen speakers are based on design by Stig Carlsson (a legendary Swedish speaker designer) and is usually called orthoaccustic (the most commonly known are probably OA52). Carlsson made some quite interesting and unique speaker designs.
Jay....something is WRONG with your recordings today ! This video sounds terrible....no body or bass ! I just listened to Jason fron Audiophile Junkie next to you . His sound for the same tracks sounds right ! Plese adjust your microphone . If you don' t believe me ..just listen to his video. All your rooms today seem lacking in quality ....good luck !
