Hi Luis, Please, I have a small question. It is known that turpentine is volatile, and the question is: If I mix turpentine with oil painting will it also be volatile in this case?
Titian was using a gypsum rich in dolomitic content. This material most likely came from the Dolomites Alps in the north of Italy. Tiziano utilizaba un yeso rico en contenido dolomítico. Este material probablemente provenía de los Alpes Dolomitas en el norte de Italia.
Be careful when committing to a large work with this technique. Make little panels and test out these underlayers with the materials available to you. Wait a few months and see what's what. My experience with plaster has been lackluster. I went back to Raw Hide Chalk Gesso pretty quick.
@@Splatterpunk_OldNewYork Gesso Sottile, or anhydrite gesso( CaSO4-2H2O) as this material is known, is not very flexible when mixed with traditional rabbit skin glue; therefore, the correct proportion of glue and the method of application are of the utmost importance when using this technique.
