Yes, Ping Pang Pong is always touted as excellent, but I've been there twice and it's really not that great. Service is always poor. You can definitely do better in Chinatown. Looking forward to trying Amalfis in the future!
Thanks for the wonderful video. I did notice the bus boy at Ping Pang use the same towel to wipe down the table and chairs. These days that's a little unsettling. You two are FANTASTIC.

Chris was so bummed that Bill wouldn't get a margarita at 10am, but then we heard him say he was driving, so now we understand :) Chris paused the video to tell me how much he appreciates Lisa's pronunciation of all the dishes. My response: "F off." Lol! I've been trying to learn Spanish for a very long time and I am absolutely terrible. He makes fun of me all the time. OMG, we couldn't believe that spoon held up straight in the clam chowder! The shrimp cocktail looked pretty good, too. Big Al's Pan Roast got Chris excited. He really enjoyed the one at Sunset Station's Oyster Bar. Chris wants to know if you were able to select your spice level. One or both of you always tend(s) to order exactly what we would order, so it's so helpful to watch your videos. We've had Ping Pang Pong on our list for a long time, but have not made it to Gold Coast yet. So glad we saw this before we made the trip! Bill at 24:00 had us both rolling!!! We had to rewind and watch that part a couple times :)
Lisa’s Spanish is pretty good having been born and raised in LA. A lot better than mine. lol Big Al’s pan roast was good, but the one from Palace Station she said was better. Not sure if Big Al’s asked what spice level. That spiked ice cream hits hard! LOL
So refreshing to see you two trying all different Local Restaurants in Vegas instead of having a All You Can Eat Vegas Buffet Channel which is absolutely disgusting. I 'm glad you went to Amalfi. The octopus and squid are chewy because it was either not cooked enough or cooked too much. It looks a little undercooked. The other food including the steak looks amazing although I can't get myself to pay that much for fish. I did at Milos Estiatorio and ended up getting a few ounces for over $60. Bobby Flay uses a lot of seasonings, and I tend to like my steak with just salt and pepper, no rub of any kind. I don't think I've ever been to a Mexican restaurant I didn't like except for a chain place. This was a great review of the restaurants.

Haven't seen beans served with chips and salsa for 35 years. Max's Mexican used to serve bean dip, basically refried beans with green chilis and baked with a golden brown cheese on top for a small upcharge. I've been surprised it hasn't been done more to supplement the 'free' chips and salsa. I've seen better pot stickers at TGIFridays than what Ping Pang Pong served. I'll definitely try Amalfi but it's kind of disappointing that a celebrity chef restaurant can't cook calamari/squid correctly! Another great video B & L!

Next time you have New England clam chowder....add some Tabasco It makes all the difference in the world! How did this one compare to the chowder at Disneyland (Thats my favorite)‽
Hi Bill & Lisa! I was just in Vegas w/my Mom staying @ Caesars Palace June 19-23, sorry we didn't get to see you during our stay. We dined @ Amalfi on Monday, I agree with you the service was amazing, the fish was fresh and those crispy potatoes are to die for, but in all honesty I don't have a refine palate so I don't think I had enjoyed it as much as someone who does. It was definitely VERY pricey (we started off with the fried squash blossoms and arugala salad, scampi pasta and then my Mom got the snapper with lemon/caper sauce and I got the shrimp with lemon/caper sauce, then we got lemon lemon lemon desert and then the fig crossata). Nearby at a table were Turn It Up World, they were SO nice and came over to our table so that I could take a picture of my Mom with them, what a wonderful couple! I have to say, their RU-vid channel, your channel and some others have been a lifesaver over the past year and even though things are starting to get back to normal, I will always look forward to watching your new vlogs weekly! It was so nice to be back in Vegas, our last time was Nov 2019 and you would never know there was/is a pandemic going on, what an uplifter to the both of us and very much needed!!! Look forward to your next vlog!

How about a trip to Monterey ca, and a stay at the Monterey Inn and report on the restaurants in that hotel? Another hotel there is the Portola which has a restaurant, bar and pub, includes a 17 mile bus tour of places they filmed movies, the sea, and pebble Beach golf course. Also restaurants near the Monterey Bay Aquarium???
I think that you got the pata, the soup bone, is kind of a compliment. My mama usually asks for the pata; you can't always get it. Eating the soft pieces left on is some people's favorite part! (Not me; I love the meat.) If they knew you were doing a review they may have wanted to be especially nice. I can't believe in many visits we never tried Casa Don Juan, but we will when we go in a couple of weeks.

Another great video!!! We will be in Vegas next week and we always go to juans flaming fajitas and will have to try casa don juan too!! There's a place in gardena called burnt tortilla and its been around a long time and its a good mom and pop place. Love watching your videos. Its made me want to try new places in las Vegas...thanks for trying new restaurants for everyone! ❤
You should try cattleman’s teak house in Fabens Texas, near El Paso you will not find a better steak ( Indian cliff ranch Fahrenheit tx around $ 70 per season!
That was a great tour of some great food in Vegas! The Mexican restaurant looked excellent and made me want some menuto - yum! Hope you can do a tour of Chinatown Las Vegas on Spring Mountain Road - will be interesting! I used to call the dumpling a half-moon dumpling when I used buy them in Chinatown Honolulu. Good to know that Ping Pang Pong is not worth the trip over. We never have a car so in general we don’t want to leave the Strip or Fremont unless we are getting something amazing

I'm glad you guys found casa Don Juan it's my husband's favorite Mexican restaurant in town and by the way there is a Groupon for it this week I just saw so I guess you guys missed that... I always check Groupon before I go out... It's funny how Lisa's accent turns more Mexican when she's speaking about Mexican food my husband does the same thing it is hilarious... there used to be a little lady there in a glass box that was rolling the tortillas all day long I don't know if she's still there, but I didn't see you guys show her. Thank you for the Amalfi review also it does seem very pricey on the fish and I know you said it was well salted when I saw the guy with the tattoo putting the salt on he looked like he was a little heavy-handed but maybe you guys like that, I wouldn't be surprised if some people complain that it was too salty... The potatoes look good and I'm sure we'll give it a try sometime it's just a very long list to get through... If you have a chance for a follow-up visit on Nora's be sure to get a half and half Pizza half white and half prosciutto and the pork belly and you will not be disappointed !!
Growing up in LA, Lisa picked up Mexican food pronunciations. lol. Our fish from Amalfi wasn’t over salted at all. That particular fish in the video that was being prepared wasn’t ours. Thanks for the pizza rec from Nora’s, sounds delicious!
The ice cream with spirits goes well on hot Vegas days like the shaved ice does in Maui. Amalfi was a good way to wrap up your blog. Someday I may visit that town in Italy which is the name of the restaurant.

Amalfi: glad you did the scrambled egg since we were intrigued by it. Love that you can go up to see all the fish list at a fish market and got to see some cooking going on. Do they prepare all the fish the same way or do you get choices for how it’s prepared? That NY looked delicious
We loved Amalfi next time try some of the pasta dishes too they were so good and the desserts tasted like I was back in Italy ❤️. The limo at a with rum was my favorite drinks in Lv the entire week 😍😍

Twice-a-year Las Vegas visitor; I always stay at the Orleans, and I also visit Big Al's at least once. (The unmentionable disease has kind-of put a damper on recent visits.) Big Al's New England Clam chowder is always good; yea, I know they call it "Boston," but it's New England style. A dab of hot sauce makes it especially tasty. Of late, I'm on a "Lisa's and Bill's" binge-watching spree.
Love that you went to Casa Don Juan in the Arts district, I go to the local one here in Summerlin and it's the bomb also ...... Bill you're going to love their enchiladas , I can't seem to order anything else even though I try and tell myself I will ..... another awesome video guys !!!!
