Come celebrate Lunar New Year 2024 with my brother and mom in Las Vegas! It was also my mom's birthday, so we celebrated it along with lunar new year in Vegas this year. I was blown away by the beautiful gardens at Bellagio and Love Fountain at Palazzo by how detailed they were in recreating a dragon-themed exhibit with so much to see and enjoy!
We stayed at Paris Las Vegas hotel, across from Bellagio and near Horseshoe hotel (old Bally's hotel).
Dinner on our first night at Gen Korean BBQ AYCE for $36/person with a selection of meat, carpaccio, handrolls, sushi rolls, izakaya like soondubu, fried chicken, takoyaki, etc. You can order up to 4 meats per round, 2 izakaya, 2 rolls, and 1 carpaccio at a time. There is a fee of $5 if you do not finish any one food item. Highly recommend this place! Super affordable and incredible portions given the location being on the strip!
Tim Ho Wan - excellent choice for dim sum if you are looking for something off the strip! Service was great, food came out fast and boy was everything fresh! Each dish is between $7-15 and ranges from bbq pork buns, congee, siumai, shrimp noodles, sticky rice, etc. I LOVE their custard sesame ball, it was probably my favorite item that we tried! The place is located in Palms hotel which is known for their theatre if you are interested in checking it out in one stop. We didn't have time for the theatre this time, but would definitely come back to eat at Tim Ho Wan next time we are in Vegas, so maybe we can check it out next time!
