The Palazzo rooms are brighter and a tad more spacious. I've stayed at both, and the experience at the Palazzo is more enjoyable. Don't get too hung up on the robes/slippers-- I think it was an oversight as I've had both in each property. I understand what Ruby was saying about the Venetian pool deck-- I enjoy the Palazzo pool deck more than Venetian. It's a completely different feeling.
I went to Vegas for the first time in June and stayed at the Palazzo which is connected to the Venetian. They did have robes in the closet there and the room was a lot lighter with the furniture and colors. I loved all the pools and the secret pool area on the 10th floor. Although I did go to lots of the other hotels, I was always really excited and grateful I was staying at the palazzo. Will definitely stay there again!!
I stayed at the Venetian twice for a few jobs I did out there. The room was as big as my apartment back home, it was an incredible size for one person. It was November and it was actually cold outside so I stayed in at night, went to the hot tub, walked around the shops, ate at the restaurants. Since my job was at the convention hall they have and it starts getting dark around 5pm, I didn't see sunlight for a week except through a window at the far end of a hallway. That stunk and I can't fault the hotel for that but it speaks to how big the place actually is if it's hard to get sunlight during a 10 minute break! One secret: there's a CVS right outside where you can stock up on supplies. Many of these places are pretty removed from shops forcing you to buy from inside.
Omg it sounds like you like party hotels and that’s fine The Venetian it’s classic more laid-back for us older folks And I don’t like hotels with a lot of younger guest Or Overcrowded pools so we are like the opposite 😂 so Understandable Great 👍🏽 Review.
Are you kidding? My friend and I were so discriminated against for being 50ish that I will never set foot in the Venetian again. After my one visit they sent stacks of generous comp offers. All went in the trash. They catered to young drinkers. Couldn't get near the hot tubs filled with drunks. Never went back and never will.
Had a great visit to the Venetian. Being a veteran of Las Vegas I never noticed any discrimination due to my age. Youth loves to party. I get that. As we said back in the late 60's and early 70's "been there, done that." Now comfort and luxury is our call. We pay for it and the Venetian delivers. Room service is grand and the variety of gaming venues and good drink catalog definitely satisfies. I intend to return. Numerous times.
200 bucks for a suite is nothing and every room is a suite. I don't see how you're losing. There are regular rooms that cost that at other properties and they don't have robes either
My first visit to Vegas was in December. The party I was with and I stayed at the Palazzo. I highly recommend these two resorts. The rooms were fabulous as well as the food options. Delmonicos was phenomenal! I would recommend anyone to stay here. It was absolutely beautiful and perfect.
staying for a week early march, couldn't decide between those two went with the venetian. Never been to vegas so complete paradox of choices and decisions lol.
@@dbased1915 I was the same way. Luckily, I went with people who had been plenty, and they booked the hotel. It’s one of their favorites. Having stayed there, I could see why.
Venetian starting to show a its age and it is a bit too crowded. You should have stayed at the Palazzo its similar theme but way cleaner and more modern. It is actually quite a big upgrade in my opinion. I would take Wynn over the Venetian in a heartbeat but I would really have to think about it if I had to choose between Wynn and Palazzo.
@@mrmotel9977 I stayed at Mandalay Bay Thursday-Friday.. mandalay bay is better than all of them venetian/Wynn/bellagio (shark reef aquarium wave pool and lazy river super nice rooms and a GOLD building)....I spent about a half hour at excalibur I agree just implode Excalibur or Tropicana and put something new there....I stayed at Flamingo and loved it too... Tropicana/or Excalibur can get imploded
@@michaelsuzio4364 Some major upgrades down by Mandalay Bay would help that end of the strip! Mandalay by is a great resort - just too far from the center strip attractions. We've been given full comp offers at Mandalay and refuse them because we'd rather be center strip... Put a couple killer resorts next to it and I'm in!
@@mrmotel9977 I like the far end of the strip...Luxor is one of my favorites on the entire strip... Mandalay Bay/Luxor/Strat are my 3 favs...I like the architecture at ARIA too...if I go to Vegas again around halloween or Thanksgiving I wanna stay at Resorts World at least 1 of the days... mandalay bay does have the Raiders stadium right next to it too
🌺🌺🌺 Wow!! I totally disagree with almost everything you have said :( #1. I don’t care about the robe and slippers thing. I never wear hotel robes, just a personal preference, I think they are disgusting no matter where... #2 Every time we have stayed there, our room was bright and beautiful not dark....silvers, light blues, lavenders so it’s weird you said yours was dark and not your thing, but that’s ok too. #3 I know the pool could be bigger but it’s beauty and the vibe surpasses that and I like the littler pools too. #4 EXCELLENT customer service! I have had major issues with the Bellagio’s staff both times I have stayed there. #5 The Grazie reward program is GREAT! #6 I love the Arancia toiletries, they smell divine and are in abundance. #7 The beds are the best in town! Like sleeping on marshmallows! The towels and sheets etc are great too. I’m sorry you didn’t love it as much as I or others do but I’m glad you had a nice time for your birthday! I’ll be there in November for mine! 🌺🌺🌺
I agree with your response. I love both the Venetian and Palazzo. However, the Palazzo is much more brighter and more upscale. You may want to try that side before deciding not to stay there again. The rooms mimic each other but the Palazzo is more modernized. each The rooms we had all were bright and beautiful. I second not caring about the robes and slippers. I’m not wearing a robe and slippers that everyone else in the world has worn. No thank you, like you said it’s a personal preference. Just like I never use hotel washcloths on my face. Washcloths been in to many peoples private body areas. The hotel is awesome, the customer service was excellent. There very accommodating and the awards program I do like. Out of all the hotels on the strip, this is by far my favorite place to stay. The design is not for everyone but space wise you can’t beat it. I’m looking forward to our trip back there.
I tend to disagree with her as well. Normally she's very informative but I've stayed at The Venetian many, many times and always have an amazing experience. The Wynn is my all time favorite, but The Venetian is a close second :)
I stayed in big 5 : Cosmo, Bellagio, Aria, Wyn and Venetian! Venetian is the best, by my opinion, pools are connected to Palazzo pools plus there are hidden pools and jakuzzi area on 10th floor!
I appreciate your review! My wife and I really want to stay there with IHG hotel points. Venetian seems to have the best room service. Mikey Chen did a sweep of room service through the different casinos and seems Venetian is best Also sign up for Grazie rewards you’ll automatically get 10% off the gondola rides. There used to be Venetian coupon codes where you book the room through them you would get a free gondola ride. Not sure if they still do that or how the codes come.
I love the Venetian it's my fav I always feel at home there there's actually 2 Food Courts another one is in the Grand Canal Shops you can eat cheap if you want to without having to leave the Hotel I'm not a fancy eater :)
Venetian is my fav.. followed by ARIA, but Aria is a good walk 10-12 min walk from the strip!.......... with the venetian, its Clean, Safe.. and a 24 second walk from the front door and your in the middle of the strip!! DONT FORGET THE FREE PARKING AT VENETIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got back from there. I prefer the pool on the 10th floor. Less crowded and there is more 'shade cover'. But I guess if you're in the younger demo, you'll dig 4th floor...Also important to note that most of the food court options (on the 2nd floor atleast) open later, like 9 or 10am. So I usually got some breakfast at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf since that was open at 7am.
Hi Ruby! Last month, I stayed at the Palazzo for a few days. Robes and slippers are included in the room. The Palazzo costs a little bit more than the Venetian, but is worth it. On the casino floor, there's a great restaurant that offers breakfast buffet for around $25; open 6-8 AM, then a la carte after 8:00 AM. By the gondolas, there is an ice cream "shop" in the middle of the plaza; try out authentic Italian ices. Enjoy!
My favorite property as well... They reached out to me a few weeks ago, so we switched from Harrahs to Palazzo 3 of 4 nights comped... only paying for WEdnesday . Love this place. By far my fav rooms.
I love your vlog!! I love the Venetian, I stay there every visit to Vegas. I have thought about trying other hotels thanks to your videos! but always go to the Venetian. I love the location, it is close to all the things I like to go to. Since I drive to Vegas, I love the free parking & it is easy to get in & out of and on to the freeway. I went the week before Memorial Day & am counting down the days until i go back in Nov.
They bring you slippers and robes upon request during covid. You can ask for more amenities (shampoo conditioner body wash etc) at any time as well. You're in the standard suite so it only gets better from there!
Looking forward to staying at the Palazzo for Thanksgiving weekend. Picked it because of the larger than average 720sq ft which suits our party of 4. Also friends have recommended it for cleanliness and being a little away from the bustle of the main strip which works for me since I don’t need that when I’m trying to rest.
I think you nailed it when you said it’s just your opinion. Great video. We’ve stayed at Wynn, Encore, Aria, Cosmo, Caesar’s, Bellagio and The M (not mentioning the lower priced properties) and BY FAR, the Venetian is our absolute favourite. It’s luxury in every room and the property is stunning. …and that’s just my opinion. We are all different and for us, the Venetian is IT. Super good and honest video.
Venetian is my absolute favorite property. We had robes and slippers so I’m not sure why you didn’t get them. I totally agree that the Venetian has some amazing restaurants. We love it there. Best bang for your buck. Love ya Ruby-can’t wait to see where you go next!
The Venetian is great, my roommate and his wife and daughter stayed there in August of 21, and we were very impressed by the accommodations, we like the idea of the pull out couch (Murphy bed) so I have a place to rest (for 4 hours lol) we have decided that this will be our go to hotel when we come to Las Vegas 👌
I am ASTONISHED by that intro. What amazing production. Also loved walking around the Venetian. Las Vegas can be so enjoyable, and your videos keep me in the know. *Keep it up.*
I get the Venetian for $70 a night plus Resort Fee during the week with my reward card. Best bang for your buck on the strip in my opinion. Friday and Sturady can get crazy though so I avoid those days, usually change hotels. And NO I am not a big gambler, mostly poker. Not having a fridge in a suite kinda sucks but I just go to the CVS next door and get cooler and other amenities, foods and drinks for room. CANNOT beat the food choices. Grand Lux is best 24hr restaurant in Vegas right now from my experience Having a TV in the bathroom is nice touch except whoever designed it really messed up cause u can't lay in the tub the right way and see tv.
It's not being picky, it's what someone likes. Nothing wrong with wishing you were offered something other hotels offer, when rooms are the same price. Your remark reminds me of when someone doesn't like carrots, and someone says there's people out there who can't afford to buy carrots, so you should eat them. Besides, down below someone commented that they stayed at that hotel, and they got the robes and slippers.
Frequent visitor of Venetian Palazzo since 2009. It's a must stay for me each visit to Vegas. Great location on the strip, love the shops and restaurants, and the rooms make the trip worth the visit everytime. Spacious, gorgeous, get the best nights sleep everytime. Like the older pool at Venetian, but the new layout is ok. Prefer Palazzo pool actually. Great place if you're looking for an upscale, quieter type visit to Vegas with lots of choices of things to do between the two properties 👍
Been staying at either the Venetian or Palazzo annually for work since 2007, except for 2020. I think what you didn't call out, but may be factoring into your "meh" feeling was the state of maintenance at the hotel, particularly the rooms. Every year, the property gets more and more worn and you really see it in the rooms. Chipped furniture, peeling wallpaper, loose fixtures, little spots/tears on the upholstery, tiny bits of mold in the corners of the shower and around the bath. Nothing ghastly or horrid, but this, combined with the dated, overly ornate furnishings, detracts from the feeling of comfort/luxury that the hotel is trying to emulate and just makes it feel a little past its prime. As far as I can see, they have made no move to refurbish anything in the rooms in nearly 15 years of me going there.
We just got back from our stay at the Venetian. Absolutely the most beautiful & spacious room we have ever been in. Beautiful resort from top to bottom!
Venetian is top tier for hotels in LV. We stayed there in June and had a wonderful time. I would defiantly stay there again. Curious to see a ranking from Ruby as to what her top hotels are right now.
Since spring 2018, the Venetian/Palazzo Hotel Guest areas have heightened security measures at the hotel: there is a guard watching the guest elevator at all times and the guests have to tap the room key in front of the guard and the card reader has to be displayed green to get past the elevator entrance.
@@rathanaephuong3081 There should not be one too many guests in group gatherings at a time to access the elevator arena, limit is approximately no more than five in a party.
Love love love the Venetian! Stayed there 10 years ago! My favorite strip hotel! Second favorite is the Wynn, met Henry Winkler at the Wynn years ago. Wynn had turn down service I wonder if they still have it.
I pray this is not a bad review video I was just their for my 15th Anniversary last month And we had a blast no complaints excellent customer service housekeeping was on point most definitely will stay there again and try the Palazzo next Fyi I love ❤️ you’re videos travel ruby.
Great review Ruby! I've never stayed there before but on other vlogs when I've seen the room tour it looks "old timey" to me, not my style either. I also agree that the pool area just seems 'O.K'. There's a reason that I've never chosen it, I'm a Mandalay Bay guy and I think I'll keep floating in the lazy river.
We stayed at Venetian my first time in Vegas over 10 years ago. It was definitely a win for a first-timer. I would stay again if the price was right but I felt like overall it was a much more calm and less party vibe than what I was expecting. Our next time we stayed at Planet Hollywood and the atmosphere and vibe was night and day. I like a mix of both.
This video came at a perfect time!! I've been contemplating making a reservation at the venitian and was so disappointed earlier today when I saw you didn't have a video on it.
@@brendalogan6281 thank you, my vacation was over 2 months ago 😅. I ended up using the my Vegas apps and had 2 nights at the aria and 4 nights in the Bellagio just paying resort fees. Venician looked beautiful and I'll consider staying there if I'll ever go to Vegas again 😊
You have, by far, the most informative, creative and professional Vegas site of all the Vegas vloggers out there. You don’t call yourself a ‘film maker’ as some other vlogger calls himself but you should because you DO create the best video rendition of the Strip and you do it in a most professional manner. Keep it up and I hope others recognize you are undoubtedly #1.
@@Christine_1075 for the life of me i can’t understand why so many people literally throw money at his feet when he brings nothing to the table as far as information about Vegas!
@@dinoman8462 I think Ruby’s videos are awesome and put together in such a way they would rival anyone else on you tube who considers themselves to be film-makers.
I love the Venetian! We just stayed there a couple weeks ago. I agree about the pool, we had a cabana one day and a plunge pool the second day - and I’m not sure I would have loved it as much as I did if we’d been at the regular pool. But it is one of the few pools that has free umbrellas!
Every time we go to Vegas we stay at the Venetian because we LOVE it so much especially when they had Phantom of the Opera there. It was beyond words. Sad it closed because it was bad economic time. They have a huge coffee shop that was great. Aren't most hotel pools crowded. I highly recommend it. It is worth what ever price you pay. The indoor gondola ride in the canal of shops was incredible. The comfortable elegance was very nice and the smoke in the casino was no more, there is a light sweet scent through out. And no I don't work for them.
We love the Venetian. The room refrigerator is a problem though. I just needed a place to store my insulin. I just bumped something in the mini bar and was charged for it. I wasn’t very happy about that. The perfume snipers in the grand canal shoppes aren’t really appreciated either. Other than that I was satisfied.
The Venetian is my favourite hotel. Yes, it does seem a little dark, but that hasn't really bothered me. I could see how it might for someone else. I have always had a robe there (I can't remember about the slippers), so I'm not sure if they have chopped that with the pandemic or if it was just a mistake. I love the spacious comfortable room, which is perfect when going with a girlfriend, and I find I linger in the room a little more than I would otherwise. I am not a pool person, so I wouldn't notice the difference there. You've already touched on the restaurants and eating options at a wide variety of price points. I just find the Venetian relaxing and beautiful to wander around in. All of this being said, I am in my early 50's and the kind of vibe that attracts me is likely totally different than yours ... and that's ok! That's why it's nice to have so many excellent properties to choose from.
I went to the Venetian 2 weeks ago, standard but with the Mirage strip view. Only complaint was that the room needs a minor renovation but not soo much and maybe more elevators in the towers
They had robes to wear before COVID. I get a two queen suite which is larger than the king. I have stayed at the Venetian many times and it is my favorite place to stay in Vegas. I will be there again at the end of October and am always excited to go.
Thanks for the honest review even if it may be “controversial”. I would rather have that than channels where everything is always wonderful. Hope your voice heals! The quality of your videos are 🔝.
When I stayed at the Venetian in mid June, I paid $115 a night, and that included the resort fee (mid week, of course). I absolutely loved my stay! Of course, I don't have the advantage of having tried every other hotel on the strip. For the average vacationer, and especially for first time vacationers, you will have an absolute blast!
They should have provided robes and slippers. I haven't been there in a while so I'm not sure if that has changed. The spa there is phenomenal and a must for me.
We stayed here in June right after Vegas opened up for my Son's wedding. I was wondering if you'd go to Delmonico as that is where we all ate for the wedding dinner. Service was outstanding and the Ribeye was on point. Loved our stay at The Venetia. Oh yea, try the Japanese Breakfast off the room service menu. Pricey but really good!
Great intro to the video. Loved the videography. I see what you mean about the decor. It has a more classic look, drab look. Based on other videos, the Palazzo looks more modern. I’ll be trying the Venetian for the first time next week and excited to see how it goes. The Wynn is super nice and so is the Aria.
She forgot to add that the Venetian tower are the best suites, the other Venetiana towers (not sure on that spelling,) sorry but that’s the side I will never go to again.I love the Venetian tower only!!clean, beautiful and close to the casino. The other tower is far away and need to take 2 elevators then still along walk! Rooms are a bit run down.
@@deloresreasoner9313 I heard about those rooms. The ones next to the check-in desk, right? Or the ones over by the French restaurant? Those are far too. Luckily, I was in the towers by the escalators and bread cafe. It’s a beautiful hotel. I want to try the Palazzo next.
for me i prefer venetian/palazzo over belagio. better room, better shopping, better food and lounges. bellagios casino is bigger and crowd is different. i have yet to try the cosmo
I managed to book four nights for $600 (including all fees) at the Palazzo next month and am excited to explore the property! I’ll definitely check out the Dorsey. Thank you for your videos Ruby!
Was there just like week. We stayed at the Venezia towers. Love the quietness and the isolation as well as our own garden pool. Our room didn't have robes or slippers but we called and it was delivered within 20 minutes. ONLY NEGATIVE was the AC in the hotel and specifically in the Venezia hallway was freezing! We both ended up with the flu upon leaving 🤧!
Venetian is our home away from home when we visit Vegas. I think robes were removed when covid started, they were amazing I hope they bring them back soon. Not a big fan of that pool but the jacuzzis on the 10th floor are amazing. They do have to add a personal mini fridge, only a mini bar is kinda forcing you to buy their juices & water when you wake up hungover 😂 great video Ruby! Hope to meet you guys one day :)
Love the Venetian and Palazzo! Always my first choice and I've stayed at many....MGM, Aria, Cosmo, Wynn/Encore, Bellagio, Marriott Grand Chateau...just so much to do and so convenient! I think Resorts World is next on my list though! 😎
Palazzo one of my favorite if not favorite places for sure. Lots of good food options at Venetian and Palazzo. When hot outside that side of street is good for walking up and down the strip vs west side. You can stay in AC most of the way south and North through the Wynn. Casino good there and lots of food options at all price ranges. They also had lessons for table games which was good for some in my party. Starbucks for coffee and breakfast and connected to Sands if you need to be there. One of the most beautiful lobbys and free parking.
The white dress was really nice Ruby ! You looked great ! The Venetian is a beautiful property. It’s so big though . Walking back to your room is so far I swear I saw a sign that said Santa Monica Freeway next exit lol . I agree they should have robes and the rooms probably need a refresh . Awesome video as always. Thanks for all you do 😎😎😎
Thank you for making this! Your reviews are so good and The Venetian is on my list to try next. I have always admired the style, and it is restaurant heaven! I see where you are coming from on the price point vs. offerings. Maybe in a post-pandemic world some of the offerings will come back or be enhanced. I also love a good fluffy robe :). Your white dress is so beautiful btw.
My wife and i are considering going to Vegas for the first time to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. And the Venetian is one of the resorts we are considering staying at.
It was sold after the owner died. Where can you cut corners and still charge about the same. The amenities the robe slippers that has to be cleaned. The cheaper soaps, shampoos etc. It us such a pretty casino and hotel. Adeĺson went all put even bringing in people to hand paint the ceilings to be as authentic as possible. The rooms are beautiful but may not be everyone's cup if tea. They are a classic feel vs a modern feel. Great video
I absolutely loved my stay at the Venetian in July. It was luxury at its finest! It is my #1 hotel so far! You don't really need to leave the hotel for anything. Everything you need is there. My family and I enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Is there a lot of walking at the Venetian considering this hotel is the biggest in Las Vegas? I hate to walk 10 minutes from the hotel room to the lobby.
Hi Ruby! You are the cutest! The Venetian is our go to luxury hotel and has been for about 15 years. We love everything about it but we’ve never even been to the pools. Too busy playing slots and craps! But you forgot to mention the Grand Lux Cafe! The service is excellent and the food I tell you the food is the best! I truly enjoyed your critique and you didn’t hurt my feelings. 🎰💃❤️
Thanks for giving the tour Ruby. Sorry you didn't like the decor, it's a comfortable modern take on the art and design of Venice italy. You wouldn't need space in the refrigerator/min bar, since the nearby amentities and food courts are so affordable. Thanks for featuring my favorite lounge, The Dorsey. Both affordable and sophisiticated, such a luxury. One major point you skipped over was the private Guest internet, with a powerful wireless antenna in each and every room. Yes, all 7,051 of them. I'm sure your streaming of these videos went without issue. You're welcome. Say hi to the Back of House, the Venetian has the most amazing staff in the world. Live music and acts abound, along with the Singing Gondoliers (how did you miss including them?). I'm sure all you had to do is ask them for either bathrobe and or slippers. There is a multitude cadre of well trained staff in crisp uniforms to meet your every need, health and safety. Can't wait to see your next tour.
You can always call room service and ask them to bring a robe and slippers for you we do it all the time we only stay at the Venetian and palazzo when we are in Vegas and the staff is wonderful too!
We love the Venetian … we go to Vegas pretty often and tend to stay at MGM properties cause MLife members and the rooms get comped and what not … blah blah I’m not a robe and slippers kinda girl … don’t know that they have been washed. I’m not a germ a fobe or COVID or nothing like that just kinda yuck to me. Anytime we get this resort in our price range then we stay There are also pools on the 10th floor as well as the 4th ? 5th ? ( don’t remember) & we are day drinkers. Buckets of 6 beers are cheaper here then anywhere else 35ish compared to 50 or 60 …. It’s the little things Another thing … Asia Noodle over next to the sports book has the best dumplings and soft noodles in Vegas … it ain’t fancy but they are life changing 😁 We move around from resort to resort but we do love the Venetian ! Don’t mind my run on sentences and …………… Your channel is great … I love watching
my favorite hotel in vegas stayed there many times the last time was 2004 and they had all the luxiries in the room the robe and slippers the bathroom things were top of the line but i think since they sold it the new owners are cutting back on certain items so im sure its not like i remembered it i hated that they sold it cause was worried they would change it but the only thing that has changed is some items those rooms make you feel special but you are right about the food but you didnt go to the best restaurant there the grand lux its our go to place no matter where we stay we eat there 3-4 times in the week we are there their menu's are huge and not one thing bad on it i highly recommend the chicken parm but get it with garlic mashed potatoes instead of pasta a much better combination n my opinion and aask for the chocalate chip cookies for desert as they make to order and they come out piping hot and so good but yea i love that place food court is good but the food court on casino level is very good for breakfast and pizza and the gelato oh how i miss being there that place is a 10 for 10 for me
