IF Chicago is SO great; why are they all leaving? My family used to visit Chicago every summer since I was a kid, probably 30 years. WE don't go any more because it is NOT SAFE!
I left Chi this spring because of crime. Lived there for 20 plus years. Sold my condo in.west loop. Car jackings out of control. I'd wake up folks. Happy to be back home in Fla
Fear is the least rational human emotion. Yes crime is a problem but common citizens aren't as effected as you think. There's nearly 3 million of us and must of us are fine.
@@kylezawacki8551 Sure you are. Have fun while it burns down around you while saying 'This is fine.' Businesses are leaving, eventually it'll be a husk.
@@billbillerton6122 Except they're not. If anything there's a political shift in the kinds of companies stationed here. Big tech like Google are growing their Chicago offices significantly. I work in the tech industry and recruiters for Chicago offices have been hitting me up harder than ever.
So what’s going to happen if Illinois continues to lose jobs, and Florida heads down the path like California has gotten? there’s going to be consequences in both states. Either you’re not going to have a job, or you’re going to be priced out of the housing and rental market! If you run out of room to build, then it will definitely be like southern California and the Bay Area. They are in the same boat! No more room to build!
