I agree with you on the roses. I've broken so many leaves, and it eats up time. But they will be well worth it when I hand them out at church on Mother's Day.

Thanks for this video. I am just getting in to laser items but have been doing paper crafts for a number of years and do a few shows and do well. I totally agree with you about pricing. I look at my items and base the price on what I would be willing to pay. I try not to get items that are too time consuming knowinh that they will either not be sold or sold at a loss. I occasionally do some because like you said I enjoy making it and am willing to accept it for what it is. I do mainly small items that I know will move and I can sell alot of and then I have some items prices a little higher but honestly 95 % of my tables are under $10 and in fact many under $5. Basically I sell stocking stuffer items, items for teachers, co workers, carr givers and items that people can give just to say "I thought of you" and that has worked for me. I have many return customers and I agree variety is everything and I bring some new items each year to keep my repeating customers coming back. Now I need to do this with my laser items. So far I just have been making pocket hugs, memorial pet ornaments, post it note holders and Mason jar vase lids. Wish me luck!

It is specially interesting to hear your thoughts about the wallet that you wouldn't value but discovered many people value. Our personal ideas, experiences, interests may always interrupt our possibilities of growing! We must think outside them!

I started making wallets last month, and I started with your template that you show here. Funny enough, I told someone just last night that I really like it because it’s so zen. Stitching is really meditative, I love it.

I think your spot on when it comes to pricing , build a name first ! You sometimes need to do things your not happy doing like the farmer who likes to harvest but hates to plant well you need to plant so you can harvest ! Don't comparison price either and i enjoy making 1 of 1 pieces but do sell a lot of journals and pouches and don't forget to market towards woman , there the ones that buy the most !

What do you charge for the roses? I made some last week was selling them for $10 each. I am making a bunch of Tulips cause there is a big Tulip Festival that takes place in a town 20 min away. The Crosses I tried sell at a local show couple weekends ago sold 1. The 11.5 inch ones I was selling for $20 and the 16 inch ones for $40. Those were just for the crosses not a shadow box. Am I in the ball park? Was wondering what you charge for those sizes. Thanks you I enjoy watching your videos. Yes I bought the Bundle.

I sell the roses $8 two for $15, but I think $10 is what they are worth. My crosses with stand in 5mm I charge $30 and $60 using hardwood plywoods. What show you are doing matters more than the exact price in my opinion. Some shows just suck, lol.

@@ValleyForged I am doing all of mine in 3mm basswood.

@@paulveenstra6305 Oh, well that seems kinda cheap and flimsy. If you can only do 3mm and want to keep it cheap, you may be able to do MDF an d paint them. Gold looks really nice. I suppose just try what you can and see how people react

@@ValleyForged The bigger crosses are out of 6.35 MM 1/4 sanded plywood.
