Your tutorials have been excellent. I am new to lasers, but I've been a woodcarver and wood worker for years. I've turned to lasers now that hand trimmers prevent hand carving. I would appreciate greatly a tutorial on the art work design techniques. I had previously subscribed to your channel. THANK YOU again for the knowledge you have shared.

Thank you so much. Wood carving is so interesting to me. I have given it a go a couple of years back and couldn't get the hang of it. It really makes me appreciate those that have the insight to be able to manifest a 3d image in their mind and apply it to a solid block of wood.

Yes, I would most definitely love to learn how to do those types of designs as well as how you do your kerf pieces (really trying to get a handle on that; especially because you have kerf in the box generators and kerf in Lightburn...which ones do you use?) ..... HA, you touched on the kerf at the end 😉

I have followed every single step, but @35:04 when I hit the "Weld" button, only the right side gets welded. What could be the error here?

If you zoom in really close, is their any gap? For it to weld, the objects need to be touching or overlapping.

If that is not the fault you can try, ungrouping the finger tabs so they are all single. Then select the component and a single tab and weld them individually.

@@MadeBetterWithKnowledge They were actually on the line, but I had to push them a fraction of a hair so that the tab was actually behind the main line. Weird. But thanks. It’s all designed now. Just have to get som material and cut everything out. 🙂

@@MadeBetterWithKnowledge I’ve bought the sculptfun s30 10w mostly because it’s very expandable, after I get used to it in its 400 x 400 size it can be expanded to almost 1000 x 1000 for under £170, that’s the plan anyway

That's a brilliant way to go about it. Finding a machine that can be expanded is a great call.
